"The Queimada is a bi-monthly event which puts dance and the dancers at the fore. Three concerts take place during the evening in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The Queimada is also an alcoholic Galician beverage, served flambéd in the dark after the « bad spirits » have been conjured up. An initiation to traditional dances from Brabant is scheduled at 8pm before Brabants Volksorkest audacious ball. This will be followed by A Contrabanda, the Galician bagpipe group, during the preparation of the mystical drink. Philippe Plard, a mythic french accordion player, will then make sure that the dancing continues late into the night with assistance of Michel Jacqmain…
Starting up as a group of musicians wanting to play a typical traditional dancing repertoire of Brabant and the Kempen, the orchestra “Brabants volksorkest” originates from 1978. Hubert Boone inspired different people with different musical backgrounds (Irish, Anglosaxon folk, classical music, bluegrass etc) to join the orchestra. Researching authentic material is one of his passions. The new setup of musicians develops their own sound with violins, accordion, dulcimer, double bass, flute and clarinet. Bagpipe, dulcimer and small percussion tend to be used as eager as the other instruments. They audience loves their music. And they have the privilege to play their polkas, schottisches, waltzes, mazurkas and contra dances for a national and international audience. In the course of time the music occupation has changed, but the basic sound and catchy dance-drive are preserved.
Philippe Plard (diatonic accordion) is a former member of the French ensemble VAG (violin-accordion-guitar). VAG has suspended its activities for family reasons, so we are delighted that he has accepted to play at the first of our season of queimadas with their his mix of traditional, mainly Breton dances. Michel Jaqmain (cittern) will join him for some dances."

* A double bed in each room so your partner may stay with you and your baby after the birth

I usually try and schedule in fun outings on Mondays, as that's Eli's only totally free day. This week, however, all sorts of errands got in the way. He came along to my midwife appointment first thing, which is the first time he's done that (such a contrast to my pregnancy with him when Megan had to come along to all of my appointments). He was pretty good with the waiting around, although REALLY didn't like it when they took blood, despite me trying hard to smile and look relaxed about the whole thing. Then onto the nursery Mums coffee morning (when of course all of his buddies were at nursery school) although that was fine as he mostly happily ate biscuits. We managed to squeeze in a kind of treat in the form of lunch with Annabel and Hugo at M&S, and the boys were able to have a bit of a chat/run around, before errands took over again and we headed to the retail park to return some clothes, then stopped for petrol on the way home. Clearly the day was more stimulating for Eli than I'd realised as he fell asleep just before we got home and carried on snoozing on the sofa until it was time for the school run.

OK Zensa, I know we've been back a few weeks now, but this is the real, real life here .. M8's back at school, there's pick up and drop off, and meetings, and appointments, and shopping and ....
but what about us, Tiny ... Palo never seems particularly organised ...
well that's where this little box is my life saver .. all I have to do is schedule some "me" time into her phone, set the alarms and like Pavlov's dog, Palo will remember ...
can I schedule "me" time too?

In Rome, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude for Italy’s steadfast support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its consistent focus on Ukraine during Italy’s presidency of the G7.
"I recall all our meetings, and they always concluded with us finding solutions to very complex issues. One of the most challenging is protecting the rights of people in Ukraine, as well as defending our sovereignty and territorial integrity. I am very pleased that your position in supporting Ukraine, our people, and our children has always remained unwavering," said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Ukrainian President provided an update on the situation at the front lines and on Russia’s ongoing missile terror targeting civilians.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his appreciation to Italy for its significant military-technical support, including the approval of the 10th aid package.
He emphasized the importance of coordinated actions by partner countries to end the war with a just and lasting peace.
The President of Ukraine also commended Italy’s firm stance on maintaining and enforcing sanctions against Russia.
A key topic of negotiations was the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.
The President thanked Italy for its care and support of Ukrainian orphans currently residing in Italy because of the Russian aggression.
The leaders also discussed preparations for the International Ukraine Recovery Conference, scheduled for July 10–11 in Rome. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Italian experts could join the restoration of Ukraine’s cultural heritage.
President Zelenskyy extended an invitation to President Mattarella to visit Ukraine.
This is Bugsy's medicine schedule for the next week. Poor ol' dog...
He's home for the weekend, feeling a bit better but his billirubin is increasing for some reason. We're trying a new med (on top of the others) and he'll get re-checked Monday. I hope the meds will do the trick and that a second ultrasound (and surgery) won't be necessary.
Those who find themselves out of work or in need of a more lucrative salary feel they need to enhance their resumes by taking classes part-time. The most convenient form of education for a busy schedule is the online class. We are seeing more and more mothers and fathers enrolling these online classes because of the convenience.

Nok Air flight DD8351 was about to be pushed back from the gate at Chiang Mai Airport. This flight is scheduled to leave for Bangkok at 0755 am. In fact, this is the first time that I see B737-800 wearing Nok Air color livery.
We wake up with the train still rattling and rolling along, at 80mph the driver assures us. Judging by the state if the track, this isn’t wise. We lay in bed until at ten to six, the announcement comes that we will soon be arriving in Memphis.
Memphis was enjoying the pre-dawn coolness, we were allowed out onto the platform as we were 40 minutes ahead of schedule. I stood and talked to a guy who tried to convince me to try pot to ease my creaking joints. I wasn’t convinced.
And in the tree beside our car, some new bird sang its heart out, either at the delight of the dawn of a fine new day, or the train disturbing its sleep.
Inside, breakfast was served. Or warmed in the microwave.
As we rolled into Memphis, I could make out the reflections in the Mississippi, though too dark to see more. And by the time we pulled out at then to seven, we had already left the river. I suspect we will be seeing lots of it later.
Smokers stood around, puffing away, all red-eyed, while I went round taking shots, because, photography.
We had been hoping it would get warmer as we went south, but in the pre-dawn glow, it was still chilly.
As daylight walked the land at the sun rose, fields of cotton stretched from the tracks to the horizon, some still white and fluffy, some harvested. The harvested cotton is stored in huge bales like hay or silage, ready to be taken away to be turned into something very cheap, or very expensive to wear.
Inbetween there are woods, lakes, and sometimes combinations of the two, all filled with mangroves and other swamp-loving plants, though no sign of Burt Reynolds, squealing or not.
We stop at Greenwood, Mississippi, where we could get out for a smoke, or to stretch our legs. It looked dirt poor; all shacks and rusty cars, rusting further where abandoned. The driver sounds the horn and we get on again. We’re already in the 14th our of the journey, and six more to go.

The Schedule Wedding
The key to keeping your wedding day running smoothly is the schedule of events. Creating and fine-tuning this schedule is certainly a better use of your time than phoning the florist daily to see if he’s found striped parrot tulips. None of your guests wi...
With my frequent travel schedule and the dryness of June in Arizona, I have been continually building up my hodgepodge irrigation system, which is now a timer on the main, 3 "Y" branches, and maybe 6 different hose pieces. On segment goes to another splittler, with the main going to a soaker hose in the vegetable garden, and the other side a hose I can turn on to water manually elsewhere.
Picture here is the new "Y" off the other main branch; again with a turned off slit to another long hose to water things in the back manually, but the open one has an old hose with holes in it to water the fruit trees and new Strawberry plants.
I'm doing 3 waterings a day for about 30 minutes. Water pressure is not great here, so its a slow watering
Venardos Circus 20191012 Asheville NC Asheville Outlet Mall
My wife and I made plans for one year to make sure we could take a vacation planned around The Venardos Circus in Asheville, NC. We planned to stay for ten days! The first day of prep two days before take-off, our slide out on our RV broke. This was our third of three slide outs to break in some manor to hinder our plans. Fortunately, I found the Mobile RV Doctor Gary Castor. $611.00 later and an entire day of wrenching we were ready and determined to catch the sold-out show. We thought we might catch a hotel. But booking a Hotel in Asheville during leaf blowing season is a $300.00 per night adventure for a room. I was thinking the entire time having flashbacks of 30 years on the road as an entertainer, thinking, imagine my problem times 20 other entertainers! These entertainers had deadlines to meet and have to make the show come hell or broken slide outs! On our way, we blocked traffic for a while as Asheville makes these skinny turns to the interstate too small for trucks or large RV’s. I narrowly missed a median sign and but for the kindness of a stranger might still be there trying to avoid scratches on my fifth wheel.
In my thirty years on the road as a professional Frisbee Flying Disc player I ran into the best and worst acts on the road in many different venues. I learned first-hand how hard it is to market and sell an act. I had learned the hard way from town to town and had an understanding at the marvel I was about to witness.
I pulled into the Venardos Circus on the last leg of their US tour in the middle of their two-week showing in Asheville. I was awed by the neatness, cleanliness and visual appeal of the set up. They kept their lot squeaky clean. I was amazed by the signage, the generators, the vendor trucks and the way the entertainers all had many different hats to wear.
Every single entertainer was seasoned often many generations of life-long Circus and stage performers. This was a rare treat for any town. Every single entertainer came from larger shows that swap talent. They swab the decks and wash the floors. The owner of the Circus takes the garbage out at the end of each show. Behind the glitz and glamour of being famous in their own specialty arts, they each swabbed the stage, set up the tents, sold the concessions, worked the ticket booths and worked this show 24/7! You could tell it. Each act could carry an audience on their own for hours at a time. However, Venardos produced a show that was nothing short of a Broadway or Vegas show with incredible timing and professionalism! There is no wonder that he is booked for FORTY-FIVE MORE dates all over the United States for the 2020 season. They had to easily work 16 hour days full blast all day!
His hospitality was amazing. He extended an invitation for me to live with his team for the rest of his duration in Asheville. I had to think of the love I have for my wife and had to leave because of her schedule. I did not want to leave!
I understand Kevin is looking for a good sound and light person! His last stop is at my favorite town in St Augustine, Florida to kick off his 45 town 2020 season! He will be performing on the same stage as many of the most popular musicians of all times have performed at The St Augustine Amphitheatre! When I lived in St Augustine, I could barely feed myself and my favorite ex-girlfriend! Kevin has twenty teams to feed and their families!
Circus families are the greatest entertainers and athletes of our time. You have to see it to believe it!
Venardos’ fans, Facebook cuts a 30mb photo to 80kb or less. Please use the flickR photos for download for reproduction.
I will create a ten-minute video or two and include a download link for desktop or phone for as long as Vimeo doesn’t violate me for the music. It was an awesome show! Stay Circus Strong!

The 2.4Ghz project uses a wireless video receiver to hack into wireless surveillance cameras. This device (which is now part of consumers popular products), can be used for wireless surveillance cameras, but it can also be used for parents to monitor their children. Such systems are becoming more popular as they get cheaper.
But what most users of those devices don’t realise is that they are broadcasting the signal.
With the 2.4GHz Workshops participants are invited to explore the CCTV wireless networks of their city by searching and recording 2.4GHz surveillance video signal. The recorded materials is then compiled in a movie of the event.
If I cannot schedule uploads, my uploads will be reduced possibly to just once a day. I can't believe this isn't a basic tool available to flickr members.

The 62 (and part of the 145) is the scheduled home of the Barking MMCs.
After a coffee in Barking I put together a move to get another four required ones, and the first leap was to Becontree Station on the 62, where 10324 has just delivered me in this shot.
As per usual there were plenty of TAs and older E400s on this route, which was formally upgraded to complete double deck operation on the latest contract renewal.
