I saw this white-tail buck about 100-yards before it got to the road. I had time to get in position, but it was running at least 20-mph. I'm betting that a coyote or two had scared it. It quickly passed in front of me and continued to run until out of sight, at least another 400-yards. It's tongue is already hanging out here.
Coyote, particularly a pack, are a realistic threat to white-tail and mule deer adults. I'm sure that they kill many fawns, but they also kill adults by attacking their hind quarters and then letting them get infection and then weakened finish them off.
I find it interesting that his tail is not up. White-tail usually hold their white tail up when scared. Maybe he's just trying to put on distance here and the scare part is mostly over.

Strobist: Shoot through umbrella camera left, Alien Bee 800. Camera right is beauty dish, Alien Bee 800. Camera left is about 2x power of right if I recall correctly.
Both are close in, so I used f22 to help control strobe lighting and 1/250 to black out the background.
I think there are moments in life where we all wish we could suck ourselves into an impenetrable shell and block out the rest of the world. I guess turtles have it pretty good sometimes. Huh.

I am still looking through those shots and finding hilarious ones, and it is an ongoing project. So far I have a few people waiting to be photographed; next shoot will be female only.
Its not my intention to take some photos of them looking like this, its only a test shot while I put them in the box to pose them. They look scared and hiding. Lol. This reminds me of one of the Spice Girls photoshoot. Sorry for crappy and dark photo, this is only a test shot.

Finding Yellow
She tried to find the light that would set her free from the demons that entrap her.
So, Stephen Maycock of Stephen Maycock Photography had an idea to start a little concept called Finding Yellow, making it into a whole collaboration concept! I thought it was a really interesting idea and decided to join in and create a photo based around the concept and came up with this which I shot last night!

These are so tall. And some people have to climb them to ajust the light! I get the creeps just thinking about it! Yes...I'm scared of hights! Might be a better angle to be standing on the top, capturing the view. But I won't be doing that. So I guess many of you will get better POV when it comes to heights like this!
