Love just how boring this photo is

This Nankeen Kestrel chose the top branch of a Pine Tree to scan the area.

Two pics this time, as they were taken at the same time. This is from our holiday on the Thames in 1973. Shame it's so blurry but it's nice to find pics of me with my big bruv, John!

On December 31, 2018, the last day of the year, my friends and I climbed Mount Sanqing. After a heavy snowfall, I allowed myself to quietly welcome the arrival of the 2019 New Year.

I just came out of the Sanqing Palace and passed the water pool at the entrance. It was covered with snow and looked like a fairyland. Step onto the high point of the boulder and press the shutter.

The ad on the side of the bus is for McDonald's with the tagline: 'At McDonald's You Get Much More'.

This scan reminded me about what film photography is all about. Film is imperfectly perfect. My problem is the Hasselblad 501C (especially) and some of the others cameras makes me strive for absolute perfection yet then it can look almost too clinical like digital. I guess it is a fine line I have not yet found! :)

This roll was was 'imperfect' as the flash did not effect the image (due to me having the lens on the wrong setting)(I knocked the setting and forgot to check it when shooting).

I left the specs of dust on to add to the imperfect look. I quite like the grain too! :)

We've been creating photograms in my beginner darkroom class which is a super simple process that one can do SO many things with! I did a self portrait in the class where I double exposed my arms and filled the silhouette with plants. Which inspired me to experiment more with scanning, which is somewhat similar to the photogram process except digital.
