Isn't she darling with Mias dark hair?

I swapped scalps again.....this is Stella Savannah hairs.

This scalp was on my other Tiina custom Taffy but I think it belongs to Bernie now. I think she is keeping this one...now she looks identical to Berlin ;)

I have another SS scalp so Taffy will still wear pink.

I'm having way too much fun photographing this little cutie pie.

There is a little voice inside my head saying "Must.....Go......Pack......NOW!!" lol.

But mostly THICK!

Left: (my Nenetl): Sunshine Holiday scalp that I dyed with "tangerine" RIT liquid.

Gave her a boil perm with about 7 med. size rollers, let it "sit" for about 3 days. Finger-fluffed, NO brushing.

Right: (my Ophelia): She came to me with a Rachel's Ribbon scalp. Do NOT like "mushroom bangs", and I felt the length was a bit cumbersome (still is to a degree) ...

Gave it a layered trim, and also same type boil perm ... 6-7 medium rollers, leave for 3 days. Finger-fluff only.

SCALP NOTES:

SUNSHINE HOLIDAY: I love this scalp, and I have two. I have attempted to RIT dye both. I have found that these scalps take ORANGE (I used tangerine), but they do NOT "take" any other of the colors I tried ... (liquid). I have seen others who have been successful with "fuschia", but that was not the case with my second SH scalp.

RACHELS RIBBON: LOVE the COLOR. Do NOT like the mushroom bangs. The length is very long, so I cut ours. I also noticed it is VERY sparse at the top (plug-wise), however, that *may* be due to the fact that I have tried to brush most of the "bangs" up and over, to minimize that "heavy bangs" look.

RECENT SCALP NOTES:

I have received several different scalps lately, and I don't know if it is "me" ... or "inferior manufacturing" or what ... but here are my observations:

NATASHA MOORE: I received a NM scalp (which I LOVE the color, and I LOVE the cut by Cakau) ... however, this one ALSO is VERY sparse at the top. I have to do a lot of "arranging" of my Qupid's hair so the scalp does not show through.

SAFFY: Okay, I bought my Saffy encore from the bay. "used". When she came to me, I knew she was the "real deal", she is very heavy, her face was perfect, but I was a bit "disappointed" with the "strangeness" of her hair. DUE to the fact that a lot of the Saffys I see here on flickr, have nice, THICK curls ... my girl does not. WHICH has ONLY LATELY made me believe, perhaps the person did a "switch" on me, and I have a "fake Saffy" scalp???? Is there such a thing? I only started in Blythe World in 2011, so I am not a "pro", and I wasn't around during most of the Blythe Takara issues ... but this is just MY personal observation with MY Saffy scalp.

FACTORY: My Ingrid has a scalp which is NOT fake hair, it is NOT mohair ... it is VERY much like "human hair", not kidding. It is not shiny and "plastic-y" ... and it is not sparse ... but very thin (which I do like). I have not seen a Blythe release with this type hair, so for sure, she is in that "MYSTERY" category.

FACTORY: MY Zabrina (who IS the Saffy e. base ... has the factory full, lush, AWESOME scalp. Just perfect.)

SBL: My Prudence Peach has her SBL Mademoiselle Rosebud scalp (dyed and custom cut by 'Blythe Rescue Mission') ... and again, another PERFECT scalp. No sparseness... THICK and FULL and just AWESOME.

BORDER SPIRIT: My LiLa Lynn came to me with an already-cut BS scalp. The color is VERY light lemony-yellow, but I find THIS ONE is also VERY sparse at the top! (again, perhaps this is due to MY not being a fan of "heavy plastered-down straight bangs", so I try to make them less bulky by pulling them UP and off her forehead ...)

ADG: I think it is a WELL known fact that ADG hair sucks. I think her hair ONLY stays in good condition if you LEAVE HER in the box. After that, forget about it. THUS, my Hollister's and Nenetl's total scalp replacements.

FACT: MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE: I like my girls' hair "messy and tousseled" ... I am not a fan of the "plastered down mannequin look" ... just not my preference. That being said, I do NOT like the constant "hairs in the face" when I am doing a photoshoot! hahaha :)
