In pain all weekend. I've had this cyst for years and years, but recently it had become larger and more painful.
I'm looking for this alpaca scalp or a similar one in mohair.
This little gal is one of my most favorites Fustero girls. So Erica was so incredibly generous to make Wu inspired by her (not an exact copy, of course!) and now I would love to get a similar scalp for her.

One row down! A bajillion to go....
I just started the second row a few hours ago.
I ordered this nylon doll hair from mylittlecustoms.com but when I placed my order they were sold out of the black color that I wanted. It wasn't a huge deal though since I couldn't afford to buy all the hair I needed at the time. But then MLC responded to the email I sent last night and said they won't be getting the black in stock until late Feb to mid March. OMG! I can't wait that long!
So, I ordered some black nylon from dollyhair.com. It costs more, but I decided I don't need as much black as I had originally planned since I cut all my hanks of hair in half to get the length I wanted. Doubling the hair I have already!
Anyways.... this is all probably really boring. My point is... most tutorials I've seen start with the part, but the part is going to be black, so I'll do that later.... and most tutorials I've seen start at the top of the scalp and go down, but I'll need black for that too.... so I'm starting at the bottom and working my way up.
When I'm done it will be black on top, with varying shades of purple underneath! XD
The part about all this that REALLY sucks is the holes that I have to work with are too small for my crochet hook... so I have to stick a needle through each hole to stretch it before rooting each plug. Bleh. Extra steps.
Oh, and I moved to the couch since no one else is here, which is more cozy, but the cat keeps trying to play with the hair. Grrrr!
Mini pine cones for my pine cone collection.
Fyi - I didn't have a pine cone collection, but I guess I do now.. lol.
Dry hair in the morning. Her scalps not attached, just resting, so it sticks up a bit higher than usual.
Has been soaked in fabric softener for a few days, and the result is so much better than before!

Head lice feed on the scalp so it is important to thoroughly check the hair roots.

The head dress is not just ornamental, it is worn in the spot where scalps are taken. This man explained that the French started the taking of scalps as proof of Indians being killed, and paid for them.
