I managed to separate Simply Lilacs dome and scalp today with preserving the whole flange, woohoo!

Going to Mihaku!

I love this girl's blushy face and perfect lips

She was my fourth custom, done in October of 2013. Somewhat neglected because when I look at her. I see all the things I would do differently now. Her hair was my first reroot. It was a minty saran. She's the one and only girl of mine to have ears. No, I will not show them to you, lol. This morning I felt bad for her. I finally boggled and gaze corrected her (I know what I'm doing this time around) and I gave her a scalp that's been lying in a bin waiting to be worn by someone.. anyone.. Well, now Taffy has it and I think she looks pretty.

Last job for the day was to cut away the old gutter and chop down above the windscreen to open up what will become the destination box aperture.

Another injury of the same extent, with a similar history of physical assualt. Wound debridiment and suturing was done under Local Anasthesia.

Apart from saran, alpaca and mohair, the skinny scalps are another option that is available for your dolls. Christine is the inventor of the concept and very specific technique. She makes gorgeous hair with unique colors and many Blythe customizers use her skinnies for their personal use and also for customs with the intention to sell. Many thanks to Christine for sharing with us how it all started!

I had to cut the scalp off of the dome as the flanges were REALLY stuck in there. Do you usually have to do this with a Blythe scalp too?

Head-shaving day, again. This time, my mum sent me some hippy balm for my scalp, so i put some of that on. Funny, though, because it says: "for the treatment of eczema and herpes"(!)

Is this not the cutest?? :D

Wensleydale locks. I rooted it really really densely, there's no part at all.

Here's a low power photomicrograph of scalp. The round things are hair follicles.

After opening my Blythe's head up, I want to get all the custom things done before I put her back together.

I'm thinking I may have forgotten something, and will remember as soon as I glue her scalp back on :P

I wanted to wash and condition her hair BEFORE I put it back on her head - soooo much easier that way ;>)

Prairie ended up finding the 'scalping' process a lot more fun and less traumatizing than she thought she might.

Notting Hill Carnival, 2013. This was taken on the last day - 26 August 2013. The weather was great as was the atmosphere. Apparently around one million people visited the carnival.

(I would prefer a feel the sky one)

There're actually 3 colors in here, but since it's not on a scalp yet, I'm just trying to show you a pic of them, when I attach it'll be a better angle... :) The leather is still too wet to work with... :)

Still a ways to go, byt my fingers are tired.

Use the thumb of one hand to massage the palm of the opposite hand. Interlock fingers, as shown, and apply firm but gentle pressure to aching hands. Then switch hands.
