Here I was looking at some old houses in Healdsburg, Ca. and up on a porch sits this vintage Toledo scale. I use to see them in the butcher shops when I was a kid.

Still have to add grass/flock around station, but that's the last major scenery part done now (apart from adding trees!).

The Scale Model section covered everything form the tiniest models to the largest. The scales were ,micropolis micro, mini, miniland, macro.

A now disused former gold mine near to Coromandel on the Marikuppam branchline from Bangarapet Jn. The Kolar Gold Fields produced 95% of India's gold at its peak. Large scale industrial mining started in the 1850s, the last mines closed in 2001.

And right after this, the hand strap broke. My f'ing luck.

Artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen were known for making giant scale interpretations of otherwise mundane, everyday objects. This work, titled "Scale X," is a 19 ft. 4-in. tall version of a vintage circular typewriter eraser. The identification plaque is missing.

Typewriter erasers traditionally featured a rubber wheel around a hub, topped with a brush mohawk to wipe away eraser crumbs. Oldenburg had the idea of sculpting a typewriter eraser in 1975, but it wasn't until 1999 that he fabricated one from fiberglass and painted stainless steel. It's in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. There's an identical "Scale X" in Seattle, and this one on the pedestrian promenade above Aria Place.

From what I can find, there's no model name for this saddle, but it you search Google or eBay for "Velo track saddle" you'll find a ton of listings in various colors, all for under $30.

Another shot of this great location - and that mysterious rock!

A few nights ago it was window frame building night. Lots of windows in those old brownstones. My MiniMate diorama has begun.

I don't know if it works because I don't care to weigh myself! I just had to have it though.
