Looking down Scales Fell on Blencathra

The Fuji X-T2 was released today, and I have one on order as a replacement to my X-T1. The T1 came to me in Dinorwig, only fitting it's last outing should be there too.

an experiment with a lens the wrong way round held in front of another lens the right way round for a wee bit more magnification. Need to join these together more securely but can't immediately think how I would use such a contraption in the field. I suppose I can always try it out on beetles' kneecaps...

That little plume of steam is making a difference.

At this point the plant was put with a heated grow mat.

First leaves that were stuck in the stem.

They had to be cut out to loosen them.

This released some pressure on the stem enabling the tender first leaves push past the obstruction
