As the much-talked-about centrepiece for the final float of the 2014 Sydney Mardi Gras Parade, MirrorBall Heart is an artwork that’s already won the hearts of tens of thousands of Mardi Gras Parade revellers.
This endearing piece – that comes to life through 12,000 hand-laid mirrors and a detailed LED light system – was inspired both by the stage revival of Strictly Ballroom, Baz Luhrman’s sublimely over-the-top hymn to the camp world of competitive ballroom dancing, and the old Hispanic proverb at the production’s heart: ¡Vivir con miedo es como vivir a medias! (“A life lived in fear is a life half-lived”).

At first I thought the white jobbies were some sort of fungal growth. Now I'm thinking scale insect. As usual I forgot to check what kind of plant this was.
This activity table prompts visitors to "Pick a blue shape. Use the wooden cubes to build a copy of your shape that's: twice as tall; twice as long; twice as big in three directions."
This Impala was issued by Westcoast, June 2009 in 1:24 scale.
Issued as a Limited Edition of 100 pcs. Mine is #52.

This ship is my favorite out of my physical collection. Its just the rights size for play while still having enough detail for display and has an interior. Said interior is based of the cross section book for the force awakens. There is a single bed and nothing else. I wish that the bed could be moved over though, as it is taking up quite a bit a space.
Problems:
the rear door is invisible
the rear wings are not all the way at the end of the ship
there are no front wings
the cockpit is nonexistent
Can you see the dragon scales in this one? ♥ They're going to be worn on the sides of the head, perhaps over small buns, and compliment an original dragon mask... I personally would /love/ to see the finished look.
This was my contribution to this unique costume!
Too hot to go out and railfan, and the Staples Sub is likely lifeless today anyway. Headed to the basement instead.
The apparatus for protecting employees working on top of covered hoppers from falling has been installed.
