When following 19th-century recipes for photographic emulsions, it can be useful to have a scale that can measure in "grains".
Bought from an antique store in Leominster via eBay of all things. This is after a little bit of cleanup.

This shot was inspired by this fabulous shot by Kalexanderson. Checkout her fantastic storm troopers series . Very creative and always superbly photographed. My shot is a feeble imitation, for the lack of good light conditions and a good place to set things up.

Marlon in blue (PTE parajumper), Marwood in white (Dragon Roger head on a DML body), McGann (Barack Sergeant RMP head on a Dragon body), and Nicholas (PTE came with a jack hammer) standing in for the missing Malloy.
Did some testing today with it. The values for converting x (grams) to y (scale reading) is y=(197.56*ln(x))-181.25 and from scale reading to grams is x=2.50288*(exp(0.00506175y)).

It's one thing too catch the fishes but to clean them is another task in itself. Scaling and gutting is not so pleasant when you have so many, luckily a couple of my uncles and cousins were more than willing to help. ;-D
