Really cool folks and high quality merchandise.

On this photograph is the full scale of the east entrance to the stadium, decorated with a crest on the walkway, some gardens and then the crest, again, above the full name of Manchester City Football Club. The cables visible on the top pot the Photograph are those that sustain the roof.

Lancer Artoria is a Figma I've been waiting to happen for quite some time.. mostly since I realized I didn't have the money or space for that really awesome 1/8 scale PVC from Good Smile. The figure comes in two flavours - the standard edition and the DX, with the difference in price due to the inclusion of Artoria's battle stallion.

The overall body shape and all that are prettty good. I mean, per the Figma standard, I'm pretty sure that that some parts are too slim or whatever, but lets face it, nobody is focusing on anything other than the chest and the face. From what I can tell, they nailed it on this figure, and this includes all the face plates as well. I do believe that Lancer Artoria has the biggest bust of any Figma, and includes the recently released Sophia F. Shirring.

As with pretty much every other Lancer, articulation isn't any worse than Figma standard, but in general there really isn't enough there to have a convincing action pose. This is where I feel that the DX set shines... yes, it comes with a horse, but more importantly the figure can actually sit ON the horse, and the limited articulation of the figure, coupled with the articulation on the horse and the included stands means you should be able to come up with something nice.

Further allowing for dynamic poses to look believeable is the wired cape. It's not the greatest cape in the world, but it's competent, and is certainly better than the Kamen Rider ones I saw back in the day. There's also wires for arranging the cape in a dynamic state, though your mileage will vary in regards to actually getting the cape to look right.

The horse is nice, and has a good mount of articulation, even if the armour plating restricts the movement a bit. I've seen some very realistic looking poses with a Figma horse, but I'm no expert and as such the most daring horse pose I attempted was the Akira bike slide.

Things I am not a fan of... other than the QC issues of course. Unlike most other Figma weapons, It appears you get to pry the hands open and squeeze in the lance grip, as opposed to popping off some components to slide it in. This is rather annoying to do with her right hand, but if you recall Artoria's let hand is a much thicker glove like piece, so that's even MORE annoying.

I actually weigh a bit less... my mom's camera is pretty heavy and I just ate like 29387429384 slices of pizza. :]

In the arch to one side of a temple or house entrance, this man was sitting with his scales. Note the many clocks, none of them telling the right time.

This is a really old scale that works and is accurate too. It is in the basement of the Myers Building in downtown Springfield, IL.

The Astor Place Cube (officially known as "The Alamo," wtf?) is back! It disappeared suddenly back in March with no explanation, but apparently it was out for repairs. It's being unveiled right now (11am)

The man in the photo was guarding it; he was nice about my taking photos but didn't want to chat about the cube.

I was in the Hamptons (the Hamptons, dahling!) a few months ago and saw a much smaller version of the same exact sculpture sitting next to somebody's driveway! Wish I had had my camera on me that day.

(For those of you who aren't New Yorkers, here's what the cube normally looks like. It also spins on its base and you often seen drunk punk-rock skater boys running in circles pushing it, like hamsters on a wheel.)
