a sampling of a few of the images shot on some Agfa Superpan Supreme film that expired in April, 1943. While I'm pleased with the results (the film hadn't been exposed and was able to hold images after all this time!), I'm puzzled by the odd, brownish, grainy banding (or stain) that run along the length of the strip. Could be my fixer has done bad (but I'd expect a more uniform problem in that case) or could this be a little reticulation? Knowing that the older emulsions can crack and rupture if care is not taken to keep all the chemical and rinse temps the same, I made an effort to do so. Again, I'd think if it were reticulation, the results would be more uniform.

anybody who knows me knows i love tea. i love buying samples and trying them, and i relabel them into little tins. if you're ever at my house, there will be no shortage of options.
My thrid embellished scrim sample. It is an oval, 6x5" embellished with web stitch and bullion knots in the center and button hole stitch with needle lace around the edge. I tried to show a detail of both elements but not true to colour. I'm not sure where I'm going with this so I thought I'd get some thoughts from the group. I don't know if I should just stop here. The scrim was very densely covered with fme. It is on a white cloth backing. It does need to be damp stretched as well. I do use a milliner's needle and it does make it easier to do the bullion knots. Two strands of embroidery floss is what I've used here. From the scrim base sampler that I first posted this is the one on the lower left corner so you can see how it started out.

I took Alice to 3 beaches yesterday!
At the first beach that we stopped at she found a crow feather. She played with it for a good 15 minutes and then finally she decided to lay down and give it a good chew.
This picture was taken on the last day of Alice being in her 5th month. Today she is 6 months old! Happy 1/2 year little Alice!
