The book's pattern for this potholder is horrendous, and I don't say that lightly. I loved the sample in the book, though, and have spent a good part of my time over the weekend discovering that this is a version of the Catherine's Wheel pattern. I've found written instructions that make more sense and will probably just leave off the random lines of contrast color (the green, pictured above).
I'll be going to Scripps at UC-San Diego beginning in Fall for a Ph.D in physical oceanography. Here's a project I helped on, collecting bottom samples in Narragansett Bay (RI).

Wedding Sample Box. Here is a sample box prepared for a bride and groom to sample some of our flavors. Featured here is perfect chocolate cupcakes with rich ganache filling and whipped coconut buttercream, butter yellow cupcakes with fresh strawberry filling and whipped strawberry buttercream and perfect chocolate and butter yellow with whipped buttercream. Highlighting the tops of each group includes a fresh strawberry, coconut shavings and hand cut fondant flowers. Congratulations to a wonderful couple!
