Last time I was in [Ames Large Hardware Store What I Can't Remember], I grabbed a few dozen color samples. I'm thinking I'm going to start collecting them, and using them as colorful inspiration in various design projects.
In addition to the cover illustration for Our Human, I also hoped to get my feet wet paneling out a few pages of the story into a comic. Then I spoke to Ian McCaig and he asked me why I wasn't using one of my own stories. So, with his help, I dusted off something from my own personal slush pile, and started over. Thank you Ian! ♥
