This is the picture I should've shot the other day. Instead of kneeling in the poison ivy, I put the camera on the ground, and hoped for the best. It worked!! You can now see that this is no 'meadow muffin', and is an honest to goodness mushroom.
Cap's Place offers a unique and fun dining experience, with the dining room boasting a classic rustic atmosphere. The walls are lined with boating paraphernalia and pictures documenting the history of Cap's Place.
These images were made during a journey down Rustic Road 118, located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, in Forest County on June 22, 2017.
R-118 begins in the historic logging town of Wabeno and travels through Native American lands and crosses several creeks.
Wisconsin's Rustic Roads system was created to preserve many of the state's scenic, lightly traveled country roads. Features of Rustic Roads include rugged terrain, native vegetation and wildlife, or open areas with agricultural vistas.

Rustic, yes, and somewhat unobtrusive. As you begin your walk up towards Slabsides cabin, you'll hopefully notice this sign on your right.

I came across these gorgeous climbing clematis today growing in an old tree trunk. A lovely surprise!
Notice the sherrif stars underneath. Taken at the Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse in Dallas' West End district. If you've visited Dallas and haven't eaten here...you're in for a treat! Lunches are fabulous and nicely priced at around $$ -- Dinners are more extravagant and priced at around $$$ and up. ($=$5.00 or so)

These images were made during a journey down Rustic Road 109 in Oconto County on June 25, 2017.
R-109 is referred to by some local residents as “Wisconsin’s Everglades” because the road runs through a large complex
of coastal wetlands that ultimately connect to the Oconto Marsh.
Wisconsin's Rustic Roads system was created to preserve many of the state's scenic, lightly traveled country roads. Features of Rustic Roads include rugged terrain, native vegetation and wildlife, or open areas with agricultural vistas.

Hwy 15, outside of Watksinsville, Georgia. I really have always liked how the clouds look in this one!
Ok here's the way the story was told to me by this gal at Dundurn Castle.
Somebody planted a batch of bush beans. It turns out that these beans are actually pole beans. Now the beans have to be trained to climb the trellis made out of twigs tied together with string. These items are called 'rustic adornments' and now somebody has to tie the bean climbers to the adornments by hand. Can you say "oops"?
The rustic fence covered in ivy by the path. In the gardens outside Audley End House. The History Society trip to Audley End, Essex.

These bread slices are super easy and quick to make and are excellent as a appetizer. The best thing is that this recipe only calls for ingredients that we always have at home!
