This is a footpath that BlueGirl asked to be put in to get up to the backside of the water feature to maintain the plants and access the head of the waterfall. The baby tears have filled the area completely now, and it looks like it has always been there. taller plants were added on the right to screen the view of the neighbors house and shield the garden from city noise, there is probably a more recent shot here somewhere.

Set in Southern France, the rustic café depicted in this garden has

played host to professional cyclists for more than 100 years. A

refreshment stop during training, the café sits on the route of the Tour

de France and serves as an important food station for riders and their

teams during the event. In the early days, competitors were allowed to

dash into the café and grab whatever they wanted, for free, before

getting back on their bicycles to continue the Tour.

For the rest of the year, the café garden provides a relaxing space to

sit and reflect among native olive trees (Olea europea), Holm oaks

(Quercus ilex), cork oaks (Quercus suber), strawberry trees (Arbutus

unedo) and Mediterranean cypress (Cupressus sempervirens). The

garden is the owner’s pride and joy and he takes every opportunity to

pop a plant or two in any available container. Homemade baguette

sweetened with lavender honey is the café’s speciality and a firm

favourite with the regulars who wish to rest their wh

During November, 100 percent of sales from a special orange bracelet with a spoon charm, which is made possible by the Rustic Cuff fundraising department, will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Orange is the color that represents hunger awareness for food banks across the nation.

“I’m passionate about making a difference and raising awareness about those who are hungry in our state,” said Miss Indian Nations Outstanding Teen 2017 Morgan Money. “My goal is to help as many families, children, and organizations as possible. Working with the fundraising department at Rustic Cuff is something I’m so excited about. This company and its owner has such a heart for others, just as I do. This piece of jewelry is something everyone can wear, share and enjoy all for a great cause.”

Money, a junior at Edmond Memorial High School in Edmond, Okla., has been helping raise awareness about hunger in Oklahoma for the past three years through her work with local pageants.

Cure for the Monday Blues #33

littlemisst-papercraft.blogspot.com/2014/10/cure-for-mond...

That inspiration photo is a beauty! I have been thinking about it all week, knowing I wouldn't have time til the weekend to sit down and play. I wasn't sure what supplies I would use to evoke the feeling of the photo in paper and ink...but, I hope when you look at my card, you will think that I met that goal.

I started with Distress Watercolor Cardstock, then blended Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, and Fired Brick. I misted several times with a mini mister, then dried with a heat tool. Then I broke out my brand new (to me) PTI Rustic Wreath stamp set. I stamped the round wreath several times in Versamark, then embossed with white. After that, I went back with a smaller twig image stamped with Wild Honey to fill in some of the open space and to add depth to the background.

My sentiment (stamped in Gathered Twigs Distress Ink) is a very old one from Impression Obsession - which I have had for several years, but just started using this fall. Then, deciding that I needed something to balance out all the white embossing and to tie in with my sentiment, I went back with a Gathered Twig Distress Marker and colored in random leaves.

I have to say, I am extremely thrilled with this card! Sometimes I create things that I feel ok about...and then sometimes I feel like I did something special. It's a good feeling. Thanks for looking!
