This is the road runner I remember watching on Saturday mornings.....I think the caption would go like this- Ummmmm, why walk when you can RUNNNNNNNNN! Beep-Beep.
I've been wanting to create this Blade Runner mosaic for a while now but never had an excuse to do it until now. Built for the MOCing the 80's category of the MocPages MocAthalon.
This is a mixed mosaic, making use of both vertical and horizontal construction to more accurately create the lines of the image. No program was used to create this. I printed out the black and white photo below, and used it as a template.

Ever see a bird "Bristle" ? Same Road Runner--on the rock he was about 10 feet away. When he moved to the wall I tried to get closer for a pic and he bristled up at me... I'm used to that trying to get "candid" pics of people. (not naming names....)

The Arctic Fox is an amazing opportunist. Smaller than red cousins, these small members of the canine family are supremely adapted for life in some of the coldest regions on the planet. Although they eat predominantly lemmings, they will scavenge whatever they can find. In this case, an unfortunate caribou fell prey to a pack of hungry wolves. The fox managed to walk off with the remains of the scapula, or shoulder blade, despite large size. #ArcticFox #BladeRunner
