BR Standard Class 7 70000 catches the last of the fading sun as it gets away from its booked stop at Washwood Heath Up Goods Loop (why it stopped there no one seemed to know) with 1Z49 Stratford Upon Avon to Preston which Britannia would work through to Crewe.

I headed for Golden Ponds Park and Recreation Area for some respite and exercise. I saw the small twin engine plane heading west and I really had to scramble to get to a good clean spot to shoot against this developing sky! I bet Visual Flight Rules may not apply for very much longer on the pilot's current heading. No telling who his closest neighbor might be nor their altitude, speed and heading in there! He has a twin engine craft and could probably climb out of the approaching weather or he better turn and duck down to Longmont's Vance Brand airport darn soon. I better get my exercise in soon but it was August and I usually carry a plastic bag just in case of the gods starting to diddle. I hope the pilot has a plastic bag in case of his moisture prevention!

This is another shot that captures and controls a range of light in this clouding, just what I like. Lately, I have been sneaking out to Golden Ponds, the Longmont, Boulder County greenbelt and rec area searching for the shots to come around and define any new scenes. I have a lot of Golden Ponds shots posted in the album. Today, I wanted to look for new possible locations because autumn was on its way and that day could get a dump shortly. I wandered and dragged myself around the green space and took some detail shots that were available.

"Blue and green should never be seen" was an old fashion rule that was well and truly smashed by the 60's, and Modsters like Francie and Casey made the most of that fab new colour combo.... TNT Francie is in the vintage (not repro!) version of 'Gad-abouts' from 1966 - complete with those GROOVY 60's sunglasses, (I have waited years to find a complete vintage set with the glasses!!!), while her best friend is wearing another favourite outfit, 'Denims On!' from 1967, which adds a spritz of lemon yellow to that once maligned colour combo ...

.....actually, if I owned a property next to this beach and knowing what us Brits are like, I'd make the rules even stricter :)

The truth is though, that they only own the beach down to the high water mark as all lands around the UK between the high water mark and the low water mark (with the exception of the Beaulieu River) are owned and controlled by the Queen's office.

This is a long standing arrangement dating back many centuries designed to stop any foreign power purchasing a bridge-head on our coastline!

Just west of where we live is about 5 to 7 acres of these sunflowers! Not sure of the intent . . . seeds, oil?

The beauty of these sunflowers in full bloom is quite extraordinary . . . and so many in one field with a little cloud drama! One of the blessings of August in Iowa!

Yes I'm back again.

However due to my main computer on which I edit my work being struck down with a big bad virus, this picture and all the others I am uploading, were Unedited but have now been replaced with Edited versions. So enjoy and Thanks for your patience and understanding.

I do still hate everything about this shit that is new Flickr and always will, but an inability to find another outlet for my work that is as easy for me to use as the Old BETTER Flickr was, has forced me back to Flickr, even though it goes against everything I believe in.

I don't generally have an opinion on my own work, I prefer to leave that to other people and so based on the positive responses to my work from the various friends I had made on Flickr prior to the changes I have decided to upload some more of my work as an experiment and to see what happens.

So make the most of me before they delete my acount: www.flickr.com/photos/69558134@N05/?details=1, to stop me complaining!!

Draculaura wanted me to give her a little attention, so I did. She wanted a pin up style photo. I think she sees me giving a lot of time to Operetta, so maybe she wanted to look a bit more sexy, than just cute. Sorry for the horrible quality. My phone's fault!

Rules can be bent for the benefit of a photo!

So 2 rule changes, first rule change is that you also can draw now and second rule change, first you needed to make a sidekick for a superhero, your Flickr Fighter or you own superhero from my previous contest. Now you can also make a sidekick for a villian. So I hope you guys like it and Ephram Sinnwell make the fig you wanted to make.

Used grungefx, blurfx, glaze, filterstorm, photowizard, vscocam, scratchcam, and mextures. This really turned into an experiment in excess. So many apps and so many layers were used to turn this from a vague idea in my head into the finished pic. Enjoy!

119:365 You should all know this by now...but unless you are using any other composition rules, always divide your frame into a grid, and put your subject cris- crossing the grid. ie on one third of the frame.
