Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Crazy Tuesday is Rule of Odds. Since Mr. Teddy Bear is on vacation, he will not be able to join us for today’s picture.
It is always better to follow a dinosaur wearing a top hat. Odds are that they know the way since they aren’t worried about the direction but only about the way they look… And odds are that a classy look for a dinosaur will always look better anywhere… even when there is a huge meteorite about to crash on your head…

View from Howth Head looking south over the Bailey lighthouse. The rain clouds gather as the evening light begins to fade.
The Sealink car ferry can be seen plying its way to north Wales , UK with the Wicklow mountains where I live, and the County Wexford coastline 70 miles away being clearly visible, stretching away into the distance. Zooming in will show some great detail.

Im trying to compile a list of groups that dont use their own award system and dont have silly rules. If anyone can suggest some of these groups, it would be great. I have discovered about 45 so far which I use.

The 5 minute rule for boiling an egg is just right for a dippy egg with toast soldiers. Firm white with a runny yolk, yum!!
Macro mondays - theme, Rule.

Two of my trusty rules to get the size of the macros frames, one steel rule and the other an inside/outside caliper done in inches and mm which makes it super easy to convert inch to mm. This was an 1-5/8 inch frame or 41mm.
... well composition wise! Going agains the rule of thirds and getting the sun dead centre but sometimes rules need to be broken! Lockdown rules sadly have to be obeyed and we are still not allowed to see family nor travel. Can't wait for lockdown to ease!

The UK government's anti-Covid laws are such decrees - they are laws neither discussed or passed by Parliament. People are not amused!

The difference of a lonely person before and after the lockdown
When King George V ascended to the throne on the May the 6th 1910, there was a whole year to plan and prepare for his Royal Coronation, which took place on the 22nd of June 1911. This included the production of any number of Coronation souvenirs, from booklets to teacups, medals to postcards, posters to tins: as mania for the great day took off amongst the patriotic British populace. Not only were Royal Coronation souvenirs sold in Britain, but throughout the British Empire, which in those days was the “Empire on which the sun never set”, spanning places like India, Canada, New Zealand and Australia amongst many other countries. Souvenirs varied greatly and accommodated every budget. Whilst companies like Royal Doulton made expensive porcelain pieces, this George V Coronation pin, affixed to a collar by a brass safety pin and decorated with a patriotic ribbon containing the colours of the Union Jack, featuring a photograph of the monarch on one side and Queen Mary on the reverse, would only have cost a few pence to acquire, and would have been produced in their thousands. Yet such ephemera was easily discarded or lost in the ensuing tumult of the Twentieth Century, and to date, this George V Coronation pin in my possession, is one of only two I have ever seen.
The theme for "Smile on Saturday" for the 18th of January is "flag unflagged", where the idea is to show the colours of a country’s flag, but not the flag itself. In this case I have chosen this little piece of memorabilia from the Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary on the 22nd of June 1911. The patriotic ribbon features the blue, white and red of the Union Jack. I have photographed the pin against a tourist photograph of Buck House (Buckingham Palace) from a pack of twelve famous views of London. I hope you like my choice for this week’s theme, and that it makes you smile!
Katarina lounges in the rule of thirds. As usual I cropped this photo into the 4:5 aspect ratio and lamented the fact that my camera does not default to this shape, especially for vertical compositions. My rant is over!
