Rule No.1 in Photography.
If you sell your photo to an author for use as a book cover you must first read the book. I got well paid for my shot, similar to this one.. but I wish I'd read the book of poems first.
Tutankhamen, was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh who was the last of his royal family to rule during the end of the 18th dynasty The legend of Tutankhamun captured imaginations globally when his tomb was unearthed by British explorer Howard Carter and financier Lord Carnarvon in 1922.

The composition of this image was achieved IN CAMERA using an Apple iPhone 4S. Post capture processing was indeed done, but only involving the treatment of light and colour. By "breaking the rules" of the iPhone's panoramic function, the image can be skewed, splintered or fragmented into a multi-planarity that could, perhaps be called a form of "Millennial Cubism".
Please see the Flickr group "PANO-Vision" to view a gallery of images created by 20 artists ( and counting ) who are deliberately working in this mode of image creation.

View from Howth Head looking south over the Bailey lighthouse. The rain clouds gather as the evening light begins to fade.
The Sealink car ferry can be seen plying its way to north Wales , UK with the Wicklow mountains where I live, and the County Wexford coastline 70 miles away being clearly visible, stretching away into the distance. Zooming in will show some great detail.

P@t.
Im trying to compile a list of groups that dont use their own award system and dont have silly rules. If anyone can suggest some of these groups, it would be great. I have discovered about 45 so far which I use.
Hope your weekend is super!

... well composition wise! Going agains the rule of thirds and getting the sun dead centre but sometimes rules need to be broken! Lockdown rules sadly have to be obeyed and we are still not allowed to see family nor travel. Can't wait for lockdown to ease!

Song
Like it or not, the presidential elections in the USA have a huge impact at World status. We need to think global, act local.
I am sorry for my dumb, faint-hearted, ignorant Mexican president, hope he will be next in line.
"Let’s define ourselves by our actions. We’re not Democrats or Republicans. We’re HUMAN BEINGS. We have each other & a planet to care for. Now is the time. LET LOVE RULE! "

"Love is gentle as a rose
And love can conquer any war
It's time to take a stand
Brothers and sisters join hands
We got to let love rule
(Let love rule)
We got to let love rule
(Let love rule)
Love transcends all space and time
And love can make a little child smile
Oh can't you see
This won't go wrong
But we got to be strong
We can't do it alone..."

Ruled by gravity and surface tension.
A water drop falling by the rule of gravity and held together by the rule of surface tension. For Macro Mondays theme of "rule." This shot also captures the point in time where gravity ultimately rules over the surface tension of the water.
Happy Macro Monday and thanks for viewing!

Yes, most of the time the 'rule of thirds' makes for a more interesting picture. But sometimes I just can't bring myself to cut out a chunk of foreground or sky!

Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
03/52 (Out Of Focus)
Pretty hard theme for me, as I mostly would like my pics to be a bit sharper than they are (including this one). Kind of freaky to try to get ´em out of focus on purpose! So I tried a lot of different approaches, this one I liked the most. Even so it´s just a DOF and not a "real" out of focus...

Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find you
Acting on your best behaviour
Turn your back on mother nature
Everybody wants to rule the world
It's my own design
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the most
Of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do I'll be right behind you
So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world
In Chinese language and culture, "方圆” ( fāng yuán), square and circle, are used together as a noun, indicating “proper achievements”. This is also how the term “规矩” ( guī jǔ, compasses and rulers) became the noun for rules, regulations and laws in modern Chinese. [Source: Allegravita.com]
