This world has many rules or you can say that - this world is made of and shaped by rules with life and death, the wheels of sun and moon, cold winter and warm summer and so on …..
Death – is the only passage to eternity. And eternity is the supreme rule that’s even above time.
Who can break those rules ? Only death can do that …. Or the eternity of time. We only see a friction of time, and we humans attempt to break the rules of eternity but in vain.

I am a Christian, male, heterosexual resident of Florida. This tragedy happened to my neighbors, brother and sister citizens. This art work is from a sunset of 6-12-2016, in my hometown of Saint Augustine, FL. Me and my dog Trailer are facing west towards our sister city, Orlando, FL. I overlaid the Rainbow image in honor and respect for the freedom and pride of our Gay community. We should also note that this was an attack also on our Hispanic community and that is equally horrible and wrong...

Reflecting water ways, and silhouetted cross bucks fill a third of the photo, an SCFE east side empty cane train filling the other two thirds, gets up to speed with GP11 303. I thought he was heading for Moorehaven but when he turned south instead of north it was a beat feet and speed moment out of town to get a great sunset outside of town. The SCFE has a small number of load outs east of Clewiston compared somewhere around 15-20 loadouts on the USSC, so catching these guys going east took me by surprise but during cane season, the trains almost never stop.
I got to finally try photographing frozen bubbles today - it was harder than I thought it would be - the darn things kept popping! Carefully used the rule of thirds to crop this image . The bubble is only about the size of a quarter. Macro Mondays- Rule

Una de esas decepciones que el sufrido viajero suele llevarse cuando viaja a territorio conocido es el cambio del paisaje, en especial su incontrolada masificación. Mallorca como tantos otros lugares no ha sabido o querido controlar su crecimiento y aquellas maravillosas calas, solitarias del pasado han quedado en el olvido. También ahora hay excepciones, aunque haya que andar de la ceca a la meca para encontrar un rincón donde hacer meditación. En mi fotografía, la excepción que confirma la regla. Cala Fornels, en uno de sus lados silenciosos y su bellísimo color azul del Mediterráneo.

One of those disappointments that the long-suffering traveler usually takes when traveling to familiar territory is the change in the landscape, especially its uncontrolled overcrowding. Mallorca, like so many other places, has not been able to control its growth and those marvelous, solitary coves of the past have been forgotten. Also now there are exceptions, although you have to walk from the mint to the mecca to find a corner to meditate. In my photography, the exception that proves the rule. Cala Fornels, on one of its silent sides and its beautiful blue color of the Mediterranean.
Mardi Gras and Ash Wednesday were pretty austere at 30˚N 96˚W, when an ice storm covered all of Texas, knocked out power for millions, and broke countless pipes, including my neighbor’s. We spent 2 days without electricity, boiling water for coffee on the gas stove; heating the living room with a previously never-used gas fireplace; visiting more fortunate friends to recharge all our batteries. We're ok, many were not so lucky. Expecting that catastrophic systemic failure will be replaced by controlled rolling blackouts through the weekend. Too bad the Energy Reliability Council of Texas decided 20 years ago that making power generation robust against winter was optional for regulated companies that wanted to maximize profits. Renewable and fossil fuel plants failed at about the same rate, elected officials lied to defend donors at the usual rate, and we expect a transition from angry complaints to no reforms, also at the usual rate. Maybe this time it's different. Maybe.

These are the rests of an old pier on the beach. I was quite lucky to get a proper combination of nice sunset and low tide! :-)
I love symmetrical compositions, but I also like the rule of thirds... so I have tried to combine both of them together with a long exposure. :-)

People who sit in economy class and immediately put their seats back as far as possible annoy me...especially when I am behind them.
And people who bring little kids onto 11 hour red eye flights and THEN rock their seats back should be collected and then put on an island somewhere.
This picture is me at the end of the epic flight from Cape Town to London.
Okay. It's not me...exactly. It's part of a much bigger statue outside Buckingham Palace. (We are staying just a few minutes away from there.)
What a contrast!
Cape Town was shorts during the day and nothing but skin at night because it was SO hot.
London is quite a bit colder (although not by Canadian standards) and we arrived here very early in the morning and have been kicking around ever since.
We're in a hotel with internet access...so you can expect to hear a LOT from Sheree.
Looking forward to poking around this great city.
We booked theater tickets for the next three nights. (Sheree promptly announced she wants to see a "play EVERY night" and so...okay.) We're going to Billy Elliot, Oliver and a hot new West End play called War Horse.
I have already noticed, however, that Brits continue to have no idea how to live through cold weather. They put on sweaters instead of turning up the heat.
Our room wasn't warming up fast enough for Princess Sheree...so I watched her turn the hair dryer onto her bug bitten, goose fleshed body. (There are times when it could be dangerous to laugh out loud...but you have to anyway.)
We stopped for fish and chips and the restaurant was nearly as cold as it was outside. They were all in sweaters...not us.The walls DID reduce the wind, though. But the food was good.
Yeah, yeah...I hear it already: the reminder that North Americans suck up 40 percent of the world's energy resources with less than 7 percent of the population.

Standard 4-6-2 "Brittania" makes a rare appearance on northern metals with the Cumbrian Fells Express of May 30th 2015. Here it is making easy work of the climb to Aisgill summit as it passes Waitby Common .
Not a classical shot according to the rules of composition, but this location doesn't care about composition... Its craziness on steroids and I wanted to highlight that in this photograph! The sunlight popped out for a few minutes to enable me to take this chaotic late afternoon shot of the rock wonderland which is White Pocket in Arizona... A tough place to get to requiring 4WD driving lengthy periods in deep sand, but when you get there, Oh My!!!
