Rules of Composition:

- The subject which is the white window is placed on one of the intersection points.

Why is this a good Picture:

- This is a good picture because there is a lot of objects in the photo that can be rather distracting. With all the different shapes and colours of the frames, it creates a visually interesting photo. But even with all the distraction the one subject that stands out the most is the white window.

- I have divided my photo into a 3x3 box and placed my subject, which is the white window, on the intersection points. The white window is at the top right intersection point of the 3x3 box frame. The subject isn't in the cliche position of a photo which is the centre. This creates a natural point of interest for the viewers.

How can this be Improved:

- The contrast of the subject compared to the other surroundings is a huge gap. The subject might be too bright for the surroundings which are too dark. It might improved the picture if the colour of the subject wasn't white.

Found at the 3 Stooges bar in Anjong-ri, South Korea. The fourth rule (and the 1sr, 2nd and 3rd too) are aimed at my friend, Andrew Ward.

By putting the main focus of the picture not in the center, it is more appealing to look at.

Kinda hard to read, but inside the center rectangle it reads TELEPHONE. Whatever is down there, inside there, I guess it won't be needed much longer.

Rule of Thirds?

Golden Section?

Golden Spiral?

So much happened while my camera was broken! Just wanted to show you my new Ghouls Rule doll. I had no idea that her wings moved in and out! And that little pink ponytail on the side of her head is really cute.

So I got a new camera. A Canon Powershot A-something-or-other. Ah, you can read it to the right of the screen.

In Samanthaland, if it CAN be a dildo, it IS a dildo.

At Bore, and again I was in need of a tele zoom lens. I tried to walk into the water to come closer, but the waves were too big. Anyways, as an example of the rule of thirds - it came out great.

Composition techniques:

Shapes, curved lines, rule of odds

Materials: The Game of Life board game, Digital camera.

Idea: I wanted to capture something that kind of looked like it was in the middle of a game.

Process: It took me a while to get a photo I really liked. I knew I wanted to use the spinner, but I also wanted to capture some of the board. And in the end, I placed each car in different spaces around the spinner and took this photo.

My "We Rule" kingdom. I'm at the current highest level and don't have much interest in the Ruby Citadel at this point. I prefer the blue of the regular Citadel. If they add a Sapphire Citadel with deeper more sparkly blue towers, then I'd go for that, but I'm unwilling to sacrifice the soothing sky blue I have now.

I might fiddle with the arrangement of statues and fountains in the orchard a bit. I like having a bee hive there, but it should be in the middle more.

Even though it looks packed, I still have plenty of room to add features I like as they come along. I guess my next task is to start working on the realms. I have some good ideas for them.

I love that the rules are seamless between the brass of the hinge and the wood of the rest of the ruler.
