New to Barton
Rules were a long-established fleet noted for their AECs, some of which were of great age and had served for a long time. DAL 771J has Plaxton's first type of Bus Grant body, the Elite Express II, albeit now fitted with a Mark III front panel. It was new to Barton and operated by Rules from 1979 until sold for caravan conversion in the early 21st century; fortunately the conversion never took place and it was saved for preservation.
Rules at Rockport Marina- "High Liner Buys Beer!" applies to lobster catchers and fishermen. This guy works the crane that lift daily catch out of the fishing boat to the dock.

This is a dunnock, Prunella modularis, which like me was visiting the zoo. Unlike me I think it was there to steal food.
A slide rule from 1965 with a sliding central strip and cursor, marked with logarithmic scales. An analog calculating machine that was used at a school in St. Gallen. Made in France by Raphoplex (Breveté S.G.D.G.). The setting shows 1.3 (D) x1.3 (C) = 1.69 (D). The line on the cursor shows on A 1.69 squared = 2.85. Easy and fast without mistyping. Doesn't need electricity. The decimal places must be estimated in one's head. A good brain training. Switzerland, January 13, 2021.
I wanted to walk the path down through this walking park today. Far be it for me to break the rules but the sign says the pathway is closed!
