The South East corner was once referred to as 'RT land', as between 1958 and 1967 virtually all double-deck services in that area were RT worked. Omo types encroached in 1968 and it was not until 1975 that RMs made a real impact. Large allocations of RTs survived until 1977/1978 and one of the very last routes, the 94 survived until August 1978. In this view of RT 2135 (TL) outside Bromley garage, the driver has just rolled the blind forward for the return destination on long route 1. Friday 17th January 1975. 2F-7.

Dr. Borlaug lit a spark in the minds of many young scholars in different parts of the world—like these wheat research trainees studying in the field and in the seed
quality selection breezeway at the experiment station of the Centro de Investigaciones AgrÃcolas del Noroeste (CIANO) in northwestern Mexico during the early
1990s—in the conviction that this spark would develop into a flame that would motivate the young people’s efforts to improve the standard of living and make life
a little more tolerable for the less fortunate. That is the culmination of his life and work.
