Special event in 1979 to commemorate the last day of the RT (Regent Three) diesel motorbus in normal passenger service in London Filmed with a 110 camera.
Seen on the old A2 trunk road at Rainham Mark in Kent; this country area RT class AEC Double decker is on training duties and is probably returning to Dartford garage.

I just loved RTs (still do really...) and was seriously saddened at the time that their days were very much numbered. So I took relatively uninteresting pictures just for the record. Which is why this is the somewhat battered rear of Barking's (BK) RT 1983 which, while working route 87, is waiting to turn right from South Street into Western Road, Romford.
1977/8.
Brasted on the ultimate blind was posed for Dunton Green's RT 4036 on route 854 at Orpington station. Another DG vehicle, a GS is seen in the background on a 471 working. Undated in 1962.
RT 2177 standing in Cleveland Road, Ealing waiting to depart on route 65 to Leatherhead during the running day.
RT 1041 leads 3 RTs from Aldenham. It doesn't look too well loaded! The following ten shots should have followed on from the one of RF 525 at Stanmore.
