While setting up some camera exercise shots on Jumping Off Rock, on Flint Hill Rd. near Ophir, NC in the Uwharrie National Forest, I noticed this small glimmer of what appears to be Rose Quartz where someone has chipped away the overlying rock face. Or perhaps there is a gigantic Sorcerer's Stone underneath? ;)

In this necklace I've baptised as Lucy In The Sky With (Black) Diamonds, I've really tried to capture and evoke those feelings of child wonderment; of seeing life through rose tinted glasses; of simply being.
A Polished Smokey Quartz Briolette is set with a glowing Opal, within a Solid 18K Yellow Gold Bezel. This glorious focal represents the unadulterated joy of living.
Above this, perhaps the most lush waterfall of gems ever comes into view. Patiently fashioned from over 100 wee Rondelles of Burgundy Tunduru Sapphires, Pink Tourmaline, Ceylon Rainbow Moonstone, Rose Quartz, Brazilian Andalusite and, of course, dazzling Genuine Black Diamonds right in the middle.
That centre wire-wrapped Circlet features more petite pretties as two more lush processions of gems, including Black Diamonds (yes, more Diamonds!!), pave the way to a final pair of Circlets showcasing yet more Pink Tourmalines and Rainbow Moonstone.
Dangling from the chain bits are dainty drops of, in turn, Rose Quartz with Pink Tourmaline and Rainbow Moonstone with Pink Tourmaline. Peppered in between are teeny tiny Smokey Quartz Rounds, providing a delicious chocolatey link back to that awesomely majestic Focal.
What interests me is not the destination, but the attitude [traveling with new eyes and an open mind]
table of friendship
bringing heart
spirit
tokens
sharing what's living in us
sharing what's inspiring
a table of presence
a table of presents
"May my mind come alive today
To the invisible geography
That invites me to new frontiers,
To break the dead shell of yesterdays,
To risk being disturbed and changed.
May I have the courage today
To live the life that I would love,
To postpone my dream no longer
But do at last what I came here for
And waste my heart on fear no more."
—John O'Donohue
"…Every prophet sought out companions.
A wall standing alone is useless,
but put three or four walls together,
and they'll support a roof and keep
the grain dry and safe.
When ink joins with a pen, then the blank paper
can say something. Rushes and reeds must be WOVEN
to be useful as a mat. If they weren't interlaced,
the wind would blow them away.
Like that, God paired up
creatures, and gave them friendship."
-Rumi
"Breathing in, I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out, I know I am breathing out.
In/Out.
Breathing in, I see myself as a flower.
Breathing out, I feel fresh.
Flower/Fresh."

The tentacles have been calling me again, I'm slowly trying to get productive again after I had been slouching during my vacation
I love mixing up different gemstones in my jewellery designs and this pendant has a colour palette of one of my favourite colour combinations: pink and purple.
I have carefully wrapped and weaved gemstones around a handmade circle pendant. The sparkling micro-faceted rondelles are purple amethyst, pink amethyst, rubellite garnet and rose quartz.
Signs of spring.
Primula vulgaris (primrose) and three Hellebores:
Helleborus Winter Jewels 'Rose Quartz'
Helleborus orientalis Red Double
Helleborus orientalis Yellow Spot
These earrings feature a sumptuous bouquet of gems made of apricot peach moonstones, warm honey citrine, sparkling champagne-citrine, dusky pink rose quartz and coral rhodocrosite, all wired in a cluster using 14K goldfilled wire or headpins. Glistening tassels of 14K goldfilled chains ending with tangerine songea sapphires add movement to the piece. The earrings hang from very sturdy 14K goldfilled ear wires.
The soft muted green and pink in this necklace remind me of the Hydrangea.
This necklace is a combination of Rose Quartz, Garnet and Swarovski crystals.
Rose Quartz is said to be the stone of love while Garnet brings constancy to friendships.
Father had quite a pile of rose quartz accumulated in the Black Hills of So Dak. Whenever my brothers and I would see a chunk of it sticking out of the dirt, we would dig it out-sometimes getting a lot more than we bargained for. Several pieces made their way back to Minnesota with us. Father cut rocks for book ends and it appears that he had started in on this one. odc
Peach moonstones, lilac amethyst, lemon quartz, burgundy red garnet, rose quartz in a gorgeous bundle of gems!
Why RubyCharm, we are asked?
And we say:
because we design, we don't copy,
we craft, we don't produce.
Because every piece of gemstone was chosen by hand, and full of love, energy and grace.
That is our "because', and there are always more.
RubyCharm is not the cheapest girl in the neighbourhood, and we must admit we hate "discounts' and "deals", as much as we must participate in that game as anybody else. So we mask those with symbolic meaning and have things like "RubyCharm day of Love" when all jewellery made of RoseQuartz is on discount.
We chose our gemstones carefully - for beauty and power. We value our work, and work of our associates. We don't take advantage of poor to buy cheap...So we cannot be the cheapest, but we are the best.
About how our jewellery website works we have published a new article. To read on site follow:
