This month's theme is fairy tales.

November 17 - Beauty and the Beast

Having watched the Disney version of Beauty and the Beast when my sister was young and then again when my kids were little, I always remember the ballroom dancing scene. Here is an alternate dancefloor for the scene to play out.

Meet Momo and Misa, my two Pureneemo Sahra :3 They both had originally long hair, but I wanted them to have shorter hair so I cut them a little bit. Momo's hair is now a short bob, while Misa's is shoulder-length. I might cut Misa's hair a bit more at some point, but for now I'm quite happy with the way it looks.

Originally I was only planning to keep Misa and bought the standard version of Rose Quartz Sahra just to get my hands on the outfit, but seeing her in person I couldn't part with her after all ^^; So, now I'm going to have three Sahra sisters - the third one is the lavender-haired Nostalgic Story version, which I'm still waiting for... These three sisters form a cute idol unit called Usagi M ^w^

I also posted a box opening for these two on my blog~

Redefine classic Scandic style with this Urban dining room

"Picture yourself in a boat on a river,

With tangerine trees and marmalade skies

Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,

A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.

Cellophane flowers of yellow and green,

Towering over your head.

Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes,

And she's gone.

Lucy in the sky with diamonds.

Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain

Where rocking horse people eat marshmellow pies,

Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers,

That grow so incredibly high.

Newspaper taxis appear on the shore,

Waiting to take you away.

Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,

And you're gone.

Lucy in the sky with diamonds,

Picture yourself on a train in a station,

With plasticine porters with looking glass ties,

Suddenly someone is there at the turnstyle,

The girl with the kaleidoscope eyes."

The Beetles ~ 1967

I'd originally intended for these earrings to be part of a set with my necklace called "Lucy in the Sky with (Black) Diamonds" but as with life's unexpected twists and turns, I've only just managed to complete them now :)

An exuberant celebration of life and all its colours (be they vivid and effervescent or dark and gritty), A Girl With Kaleidoscope Eyes is d-r-a-m-a personified.

Seemingly identical, each side of these dramatic danglers is a wee bit different, just for kicks!!

The right side is a circlet of glowing Moonstone Rondelles, framing an inner rim of Pink Tourmaline, just perfectly. A waterfall of Moonstones trickles towards Andalusite, Genuine Burmese Rubies, another tier of Andalusites, a subtle accent of Rose Quartz followed by a ruffle of more Burmese Rubies ... with all these petite pretties leading to an absolutely DECADENT AAA Polished Smokey Quartz Briolette set with an exquisite Pink Sapphire, in an 18K Solid Yellow Gold Bezel.

To the left, a similar circlet debuts but in a reversed line-up of gems with Pink Tourmalines outlining the frame as Moonstones dot the inner circumference. Draping downwards is a similar waterfall of gems showcasing Moonstones, Andalusites, Genuine Burmese Rubies, a touch of Rose Quartz, more Andalusites and a final layer of Burmese Rubies. And, of course, a final sumptuous Smokey Quartz Briolette featuring a second, beautiful Pink Sapphire. Magnificent. Simply magnificent.

Overflowing with feminine wiles, these earrings are sure to turn you into a giggling little ballerina.

Here we have a richly ornate pair of stud earrings. The ear-posts were constructed of sterling silver wire and tiny sterling beads. They were fashioned in a tiny version of my "Nautilus" pendant. The stunning gems are checker-cut, Madagascar rose quartz pear-shaped briolettes. To compliment them is a cluster of lustrous pink pearls---very feminine and romantic.

They have been oxidized to highlight the wire-work and then hand-buffed to a matte finish.

All metals used are sterling silver.

Measurement: 1 3/8 inches from the posts to the bottom of briolettes

Weight: 4 grams per earring

this might be my favorite bonsai. it was hard to let this one go but I know its new owner so I can go visit. :)

De Bazaar | Fata Morgana 02/03/2026 15h01

Since 28/11/2025, the souvenir shop De Bazaar at Fata Morgana has a new addition. Visitors to De Bazaar souvenir shop pass a market stall with a screen, where a merchant appears. These are not actors: the video material was created using artificial intelligence.

The videos contain no interactive element: AI is used only to shape and animate the merchants. They loudly promote mysterious stones that visitors can purchase. Occasionally, animals also appear. According to Efteling, AI is a way to "enrich the creative vision without losing our authenticity."

De Bazaar is located near the exit of the attraction. A cabinet in the shop displays stones such as pyrite, rock crystal, agate geodes, rose quartz, and amethyst. They are priced individually, starting at €2. It is also possible to fill a velvet pouch—blue, red, or purple—with stones from the jars for €8.50.

Lighting provided by my favourite rose quartz candle at front and another candle out of shot to bring out the best bokeh I could manage in the background.

For those who are interested - rose quartz is meant to:

Encourage self love, heal emotional body, ease heartache, relieve loneliness, release repressed hurts, promote forgiveness, offer inner peace

Personally, I find a puppy works just as well ;)
