The Rooftop Park in the Kansas City Power & Light District.
Early morning sunrise image here. I caught the sun reflecting off the H&R Block Headquarters Building in downtown Kansas City. This location is about three stories up nestled between other buildings.
My old friend Shogo came to Vancouver to say goodbye to our friend, Jody, tragically taken from friends and family in a workplace accident on March 31. Before Shogo left Vancouver, we were able to get out onto a downtown Vancouver rooftop and look out over the city. April 11, 2016.
North End Rooftops during winter golden hour. Shot from the Custom House Tower rooftop view deck with Sony a6000 and 55-210mm telephoto lens. I wish I had a better quality telephoto lens - for this kind of shot you can't really "zoom with your feet." This lens is pretty good for the price, but when viewing large or printing large I start to notice that shots from this lens aren't as sharp and crisp as they could be, especially around the edges. Still, I wonder how this one would look printed? The red rooftops filling the frame is very appealing to me.
A rooftop with satellite dishes with a mosque minaret. This scene was taken from the Abydos Temple near Luxor.
Rooftops give us a clear way to see the surroundings around us.
One of my older pictures, a picture of the sunset, taken from and contrasting perfectly with the rooftop of a shopping mall building.
Taken during a morning stroll in New Jersey.
Had something in mind for the group theme but the morning got too crazy so I'm posting a shot from last summer.

Iguanas are an intriguing, yet invasive, species. They can be commonly seen in south Florida where they have been set free by individuals who once thought they would make great pets, but then changed their minds releasing them in the wild. They have adapted well to south Florida, due to the warm traopical weather found there. However, in the winter months when they have a cold snap, they often suffer. Some go dormant; some die off, literally falling from the tops of trees. Yikes!
This one was found sunning itself last year when the temperatures dipped into the 30's, in an attempt to stay as warm as possible. Another was found moving quite slowly in our grass nearby. This year Florida has had some cooler weather and I wonder how they're doing.
Please remember to not turn non-wanted "pets" outdoors, especially those who aren't native and don't belong in our ecosystem.
Thanks for stopping by to view and as always, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

“Dubrovnik Rooftops” — Tile rooftops of old Dubrovnik seen from the city walls in early evening light.
Dubrovnik is a remarkable city — very old, very scenic, and today a sophisticated center of tourism. The age of the place becomes more obvious the further you get away from the central tourist areas. Out around the furthest fringes, on very narrow walkways, you can find places that seem almost… natural.
The old city is almost completely ringed by an ancient wall — the only gap is near the small harbor. On this evening I set out to walk the perimeter of the town along the wall. I made the photograph early on my walk as the light was just beginning to take on the colors of early evening as I looked across a sea of red rooftops.
