The top level of the Buddha's Tooth Relic Temple in Singapore's Chinatown. The building in the middle of the roof garden houses a huge prayer wheel which visitors may turn (that's what the lady in the pic is doing).

Lowestoft's rooftops viewed from the Gull Wing bridge, dominated by St. Peter's Court tower block.

In the 1960's and 70's, the streets around the Town Hall at the north end of the town know as 'The Grit', Lowestoft's fishing village, were demolished to make way for a new one-way traffic system and St. Peter's Court, which was built in 1968.

After a survey of the site revealed it would cost £23m to maintain the tower block, it was decided in October 2023 that the building would be demolished.

Shot taken from the rooftop pool area of the Westin hotel in Austin, Texas. I got there early to get a people-free photo.

Colas Tug 60076 catches a bit of sun as it rides the viaduct over the rooftops of Accrington, Lancashire with the 08.40 Preston - Lindsey discharged bitumen tanks (6E32). Meanwhile the spire of St John's Church won't be outdone and makes its presence felt towering over just about everything within sight.

Caught this with the corner of my eye and I tried to capture all the details as best as possible.

Hope you find it as interesting and mysterious as I did.

Btw, care to guess what is the stuff on the rooftop on the right?

Rooftops of Bath in Somerset, England

The dealer that I purchased this photograph from identified the photographer as Frank A. Free, Davenport, Iowa. I like the way this one is framed by what I assume is part of the building. It sort of has an artistic feel to it. Purchased in MN.

Saint-Emilion is a charming medieval village located in the heart of the famous Bordeaux wine area.

The legend tells us about a monk from Brittany who fled from Vannes, his hometown, to seek refuge in one of the natural caves in a place called Ascum bas (former name of the village) in the 8th century.

His name was Emilion. Living the life of a hermit he accomplished a few miracles and rapidly became famous in the region and even far beyond its borders. Soon he had many disciples and with their help he evangelized that place and made it became a great religious center. Even after his death his followers carried on his legacy and even called the town after him: Saint-Emilion.

In 1999 for the first time in the world a vineyard was put on the World Heritage List by the UNESCO as a Cultural Landscape, that is to say a historical landscape that remained intact but which is still carrying on its activity.

Paris building rooftop with raindrops

Not a particularly good shot as I couldn't get up any closer, but they did look lovely after flying off the bird feeders to settle on the snowy roof top opposite. HWW have a great day! (You may need to view large to see the goldfinches)

Taken from my attic window, I love the angles of this image. I took some of the noise off in photoshop to smooth it out, and it looks incredible. Probably one of my favourite pictures of all time.
