We took a wonderful stroll for several hours on Kapuzinerberg hill in Salzburg. The views over the town and surrounding Voralpenland landscape were amazing as was the weather complementing our birthday :) Here an image from the start of our walk which gave us interesting views over the rooftops of a part of the city.

Just another architectural wonder in Wheelng WV
80 14th Street Wheeling built in approximately 1910 this is an Iconic grand Victorian in East Wheeling. I want to go back and shoot the whole building under better conditions but the roof is absolutley the best representation of this building.

Shot on the rooftop. I was actually going to look at the sunrise from the left side and wasn't sure my remote was working correctly, so I held it halfway to hear it beep as I'm stepping over the ridge. I didn't hear it beep, but I heard it click. This was the result.
What am I doing up so early? Just wanted to catch a sunrise. Those things come all early and shit... Now it's back to bed. I mean, now to take on the day!

Today's post is a third shot of the same composition from the corner of the rooftop at Tribune Tower. I took this same shot with three different lighting conditions: Daytime, Blue Hour, and now night. The photographer in me prefers the blue hour shot since it is such a small window of time where the lighting is most unique, but the Chicagoan in me can't help but prefer the below nighttime version, as I believe it is the truest representation of the city (and I mean that in a good way).

I was in the Metropolitan building in Detroit and shot this out one of the windows. It is actually a sheet of ice on the rooftop and after doing some fooling around with it, I thought it had a great optical illusion effect going on...like it is a long way down, especially near the ladder side. Anyway, just another fun urbex shot!
