scans from negatives 1995. After years of abandonement, new work had begun on the old BF Goodrich building and these photos were taken during the renovation stage
originally this was the only "building" on the roof of the main building. this house the lift elements and all gears and machinery that operated them. You used to be able to get into those 2 doors that they have blocked in.
Individual rooftop terraces, balconies and gardens of all kinds saturate the skyline of Buenos Aires looking over Chacarita and seem almost to form one continuous structure stretching out over the city.
I was lucky to get a perspective of the city from 17 floors up. I was drawn to this scene after I noticed the BBQ setup with table/chairs.

I finally got the nerve to climb onto a rooftop in Kemp to take photos. I'm scared of heights so it took me a little while to decide the photo op was worth it. This was a spontaneous shot of two friends that went onto the rooftop with me for moral support. I rather like it. The building to the far right is a bit taller than the one we were standing on but I assure you we were really walking around on the rooftops of Kemp.. located on the city square. Which, if you've viewed my hometown series, you probably know isn't the wisest of moves since all of those buildings are decaying.
