Painted Storks (Mycteria leucocephala)
The Painted Storks have started arriving at zoological garden as the mercury goes down in New Delhi and have already started pairing up while flaunting their vibrant colourful attire.
These large beautiful wading birds are of tropical species, belonging to the stork family of Ciconiidae,& are named after their tertial pink feathers.
These birds are found in the Asian continent, covering the area from India and Sri Lanka to Southeast Asia.The broad-winged soaring birds, the Painted storks of India fly with their neck outstretched.They are resident birds and are found in Indian lowland wetlands, with trees,and often migrate short distances within the subcontinent t find optimally cool habitat to keep their existence into being.

ever so delicate and soft, the morning fog flows from the north and caresses our beloved gate.
this was the first image that i'd processed from my lost images which i thought were no longer available due to a failed external hard drive. i'm so blessed with a wonderful cousin who, after many hours of research and trial and error, helped recovered all the images from this day's shoot! i still have much images to recover and share! :)
