You just roll them up...and they are ready to go!!! You should see children playing with those when I go to craft fair....they are all over the table...I'm going to take a picture of that next time :)

The outriggers support a nice bit of weight, but can be a bit fragile. The crane boom will support loads of weight, however the small area I had for the turntable means the whole thing snaps off somewhat easily. It can still manage to lift an average car though!

Rollups! A kid favorite :)
Please read about this bento at my blog : happylittlebento.blogspot.com/2011/08/sandwich-rollups-be...
As I was busting my little Hino FB apart I realized that I hadn't photographed the working rollup door in the back.

Here was one for my TinySprite: Rollups made with fried egg, ham, spinach and cheddar cheese...a couple of grape tomatoes, some kumquats and some kiwi flowers.
What do you think she thought of the kumquat? Hmm.

A little snack is supposed to keep the little girl occupied while her brother does homework... turkey and roasted red pepper rollups, strawberry, edamame skewer, lychees, and pink flower almond jellies (almond float).
I don't really give her whole lychees because the seed is smooth and slippery; not safe for little ones. I'll cut and pit the lychee after I take the photo (it looks nicer for the picture as a whole :)
It was a happy coincidence when:
(1) my husband gave me a Carolyn Frielander Botanics Roll Up for Christmas,
(2) I joined a retreat at the 11th hour,
(3) I needed a pair of single bed quilts and
(4) I had on my quilt pattern to-do list, the Lawn Chair Quilts byMonica Solorio-Snow of Happy Zombie. Her Free pattern can be found on the Moda Bake Shop site www.modabakeshop.com/2010/09/lawn-chair-quilts.html
I like the Robert Kaufman rolls as they have straight cut edges - they are not pinked. My trusty bolt of Kona white went along to the retreat with me and I was able to happily cut, sew and piece and be very industrious while still socializing. With a few extra pieces from the Botanics line, I made two (60 x 85) single quilts. As a bonus I was able to use for binding, the off-cuts from the backing after quilting - love that thrifty use of the fabric.
Parallel quilting lines provided a clean and simple finish. I love the crisp freshness of the fabrics and Lawn Chair pattern.
it was a perfect retreat project while meeting my needs for new single bed quilts. Thanks Monica for designing and sharing the pattern via Moda Bake Shop!

Today he got: whole wheat tortilla wrap with extra sharp white cheddar, nitrite-free cured ham, cream cheese, leafy greens, avocado. A side of fresh-made quinoa veggie salad (cooked stovetop in vegetable broth with garlic, scallions, red and orange bell peppers, zucchini and -- celery --added after cooking for extra crunch). Raw veg cup has carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes and olives. Apple and plum slices too.
I arranged the wraps like this for photo purposes; later I pushed the fruit slices closer together and laid them flat to fit in the tin. All ready to go to school!
i haven't seen many hoverflies yet this season. this one was in one of my favorite cambridgeport gardens and was hovering around a new pink zinnia today.
