It had been 18 years since Feyenoord had last won the championship in the national football competition. Feyenoord is the pride and joy of the city of Rotterdam, a club that thrives on hard work rather than brilliance, and therewith symbolises this city that still has not yet shred its blue collar roots. This weekend the club could have become the champion against a smaller local team, but failed miserably. Feyenoord lost 3-0 against Excelsior, which led to mayhem among the tens of thousands of supporters that had flocked to the city centre. "You'll never walk alone", is one of the supporters' favourite songs. Here's a version by an ageing but still locally famous singer.

Provenierssingel 17/09/2020 13h59
The often underappreciated rear side of the Central Station in Rotterdam. The Provenierssingel is a beautiful and stately canal between Central Station and Schiekade. At the left the Provenierssingel and at the right the Proveniersstraat. The tram tracks are no longer for regular use but are used for calamities.

Luchtsingel 17/09/2020 14h12
A great spot for street art and photographers. The Luchtsingel (Art Brigde) at the location of the former train station Hofplein.
The Luchtsingel connects Rotterdam north with the center and brings new life to a forgotten area with a bridge, a roof field, an event site on the Hofbogen and a park. [ luchtsingel.org ]

Finally home after a very busy weekend in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague.
Shot a lot of nice frames and i have a lot of processing to do. Visited a Zoo for the first time in many years and had a blast, with the animals and with the visitors ;)
