The Rocket Launcher T34 (Calliope) was a tank-mounted multiple rocket launcher used by the United States Army during World War II.
I had a blowout in a field of Dames' Rocket to ight after supper! This is a wildflower I LOVE and there is a field of it, just going over now( and there WAS mustard too hut it has gone to seed!) The field is in a VERY inconvenient spot but DH drove me, parked and let me trek across the highway on ramp and into the tall grass and weeds! HEAVEN!!!!!
A friend invited me to join him and his club for a rocket event called the Christmas Tree launch. Great fun.

I love science fiction and space exploration and had this idea for a retro look rocket ship. I drew my inspiration from all sort of sources such as 2001 A Space Oddessy, Tintin: Explorers On The Moon, UFO the TV series, 50's sci-fi in general and of course good old NASA, especially the incredible pictures from the Cassini probe as it flew by Saturn. I wasn't going for an accurate depiction of Saturn and it's moons by the way, I just wanted a big ringed planet for my back drop.
Rocket launched at Andøya Rocket Range. This is a NASA rocket that will measure meteorite dust in the ionosphere (150 km altitude). It only uses 3 minutes to reach this altitude!
How can you not love a neighbourhood that has a rocket on the roof? And the rocket looks even better at night with lights!
Here's a fun one, it won't make it to the moon unless it's in a real rocket :)

A much *cleaner* picture of Team Rocket. These two did a great job and were in costume for pretty much the whole day.
As for all the clutter behind them; it is what it is. The hotel was cordoned off for another convention the same weekend so some areas were off-limits for photo-shoots and lots of signage marred the backgrounds.

On November 6, 2014, nearly 100 entrepreneurs pitched their ventures to fellow entrepreneurs, investors, partners, and members of the community at the 15th annual Babson Rocket Pitch event. Presenters included Babson students and alumni, as well as Olin College of Engineering and Wellesley College students.
Each entrepreneur was given three minutes and three PowerPoint slides to quickly and succinctly deliver the critical differentiating elements of their business ideas. Pitches happened in rapid succession in multiple rooms. An open networking reception followed the event, allowing audience members to connect with the entrepreneurs directly and ask questions.
The event was sponsored by The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, Pepper Hamilton LLP, and Samuel Goldstein & Co.
