Custer is a city in Custer County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 1,987 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Custer County.

If you want to enjoy the stunning nature of the Custer State Park or if you want to admire the Mount Rushmore, the town Custer is the best point of origin in the area.

As a tourist, in Custer you can get all. For example a room, yummy pizza and good coffee.

This series shows an evening stroll through Custer and four photos of Newcastle on the next day after leaving Custer.

I felt myself very comfortable in Custer!

The rockets are wound up with as many as 100 or more turns on the propeller and suspended on a string from a separate bracket with the propeller held in place.

Lucky shot! These teeny tiny rockets accelerate so amazingly fast that there's no time at all to hit the shutter. I clicked the shutter release in anticipation and got lucky.

Too many rockets to hit a single tank...

It is quite a big bang when we test the rockets. Very strict safety protocols need to be followed but it is an amazing on-campus site.
