The basic frame. PVC pipe, 3/4" for the verticals and control arms, 1/2" for the horizontals and control grips. The control arms are attached with fittings called "snap saddle tees". They will enable the arms to swing in and out. I also hope they'll act as a breakaway if it gets dropped, stepped on, etc. If the arm comes off at the T, it just snaps back on.

Rocket launches near Redwick on the 20th July 2019, the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing, Apollo 11. A competition between rockets from the Apollo era (Mercury-Redstone, Saturn 1b and Saturn 5) was held and a trophy awarded (picture of that to follow).
