Janis Joplin was right. Yesterday morning it was $2.939 per gallon at most neighborhood dealers. The place across the road has just upped theirs to $3.159. Lord knows what the next tank will cost.

The Ross Fountain
The Ross Fountain is a cast-iron structure located in West Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh. It was installed in 1872 and restored in 2018.
-- History of the Ross Fountain
The Ross Fountain on the right of the photograph was produced at the iron foundry of Antoine Durenne in Sommevoire, France. It was an exhibit at the Great Exhibition of 1862.
It was purchased by gunmaker Daniel Ross in 1862 for £2,000 and subsequently gifted to the city of Edinburgh. It was transported to Leith in 1869 in 122 pieces. It was installed in its current position in 1872. It had some extensive restoration work completed in 2001.
-- Restoration of the Ross Fountain
The fountain was turned off again from July 2017 for further restoration work undertaken by Lost Art Limited of Wigan on behalf of The Ross Development Trust. The restoration cost was £1.9m.
On the 8th. July 2018, it was re-inaugurated by Lord Provost Frank Ross and others, including the Head of Mission at the French Consulate in Edinburgh Emmanuel Cocher.
The fountain is now painted in turquoise, brown and gold. According to the organisers, the paintwork should last for at least 20 years. The fountain has a new pump and will be switched on permanently.

B&M, Manchester Fort 25-10-2016:
B&M at the Manchester Fort was closed this evening following an armed robbery.
The store that has been targeted before according to a member of staff was closed as police rushed to assist.
According to one witnesses who was shopping with her two children inside the store at the time, two men entered the store armed with a crow bar and a machete. She also told me they pushed one customer out of the way and then demanded cash.
They then left the store and made escape in a vehicle outside.
Police were seen taking statements in-store from members of staff and shopping customers.
Many customers were confused when being told the store was closed for the evening.
