Yesterday, my roommate went down to laundry, and came back seriously freaked out. Someone did a little non-subtle breaking and entering to our laundry room. In a locked building. With the caretaker's apartment sharing a wall.

"Detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 8 District (Grimsby / West Lincoln / Lincoln) office have been continuing to investigate three-armed robberies that occurred in the Town of Lincoln on November 1, 2023.
A suspect entered three commercial businesses brandishing a black handgun demanding money. The suspect fled the area in all three incidents. None of the involved employees were physically injured.
On November 2, 2023, following multiple tips from the public, detectives were able to identify the suspect. 8 District detectives and NRPS 3 District (Welland / Pelham) Street Crime Unit detectives were able to locate the suspect in the area of Glendale Avenue and Highway 406 in St. Catharines. At 6:15pm officers from the NRPS Emergency Task Unit (ETU) attended the area and arrested the suspect without incident or injury."

Last week a brutal robber just walked into a church, grabbed a € 250.000,- silver & diamond inlayed monstrance and ran away again.
And nobody dared stop the guy, not even the guards on call.
(I even read in the newspaper that these guards even applied for a psycological victim assistance program??? Hello??? It's your job to protect the visitors and the valuables and you goofed up. I would have fired them!)
