As the fungi ages, the surface develops lots of tiny fissures that look like a roadmap.

I don't know, folks--this road looks like an octopus!!! Maybe it is because I am reading a book about an octopus!
This is a clean version of an FAA graphic I saw in the pilot's room at the Moffett Field flight center, and I love it... it's a visual guide to the air traffic routes used at various aiports around the San Francisco Bay Area.
It also does a lot to explain all the air traffic I see above our home... turns out, we live beneath three major flightpaths. From the ground it all seems somewhat random, but now that I've seen this route plan, the orientation and altitudes of the planes I see over our house every day make a lot more sense.
A plaque commemorating the successful delivery of new safety and software assurance applications to the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Office of Aviation Safety (AVS) is seen before a ceremony on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at FAA Headquarters in Washington. NASA and FAA initiated the Research Transition Roadmap (RTR) partnership three years ago to support timely and cost-effective safety assurance of software and digital systems. The ceremony also marked the transition of the RTR into the Research Transition Team (RTT). Photo Credit: (NASA/Aubrey Gemignani)
On Wednesday, the President of the Republic of Kosovo,Vjosa Osmani, addressed the European Parliament in a formal sitting in Strasbourg.
“The Republic of Kosovo and its people continue to look to the future - a European future”, said President Osmani and called for more robust regional cooperation. “We have extended a hand of cooperation to all our neighbours and we have done so in large part because our people deserve a brighter future”, she added. To Serbs living in Kosovo, she stressed that Kosovo “is your home. And we will do everything in our power to make sure that you feel protected, included, equal and heard.”

Since I'm pretty much back to staying inside for the time being, I'm going to work on getting my vintage road map collection better organized.
A rare visit to an essential shop, for some bits and bobs. Non-essential shops open on 12 April 2021, in England

A few details...the camera itself is 17"x17"x24" roughly.
Made from a bulk diapers box, bulk wipes box and a Xerox paper box.
The pinhole was made with an upholstery tack. Could be, nay, will be a better pinhole eventually.
I'm hoping to accomplish all my scalp prep tonight for the coming week. I have to have a roadmap or I root off course ... bad.
Sample dashboard of the "Social Readiness Roadmap" (not real data)
Based on 45+ criteria (Update, the 2012 version has 50+ criteria) we've developed from interviewing many companies to find out how they are successfully internally (see my body of research www.web-strategist.com/blog/research and based on my experience launching social at Hitachi 2005-2007, we help ensure they've the same internal resources and alignment.
Select criteria includes "socialgraphics, processes, measurement frameworks, roles, policies, education programs, org models".
We can benchmark their performance over time, to ensure they are ready. I've found that the Corporate Social Strategist, finds this graphic helpful to quantify 'squishy' internal efforts into something that can be widely shared with stakeholders and executives.

Needed to do a fill-in for the swap for January and this was one of the artistamp designs. If I shrunk it to stamp size the map wouldn't look as good so I made my artistamps the size of the ATC. hehe Will post the finals tonight once grocery shopping an dinner is done and I can finish scanning. hehe
I just picked these up and wished I had them before this last western trip. They are great for following 2 lane blacktop.

Self induced insomnia has its benefits. heh heh.
Note that this local mapmaker has made a much more accurate map than the 1941 Shell map. For example, the tide flats around Magnolia are shown as potential, not real land.
The cover says "Shows: Seattle's New Transportation System; Streets; Block Numbers; Parks & Playgrounds; Main Thorofares; Boulevards; Golf Courses, etc". The new transportation system was buses that replaced streetcars. Bus line numbers are written in red next to the red route lines. Dashed for gas buses, solid for trolley.
Published January, 1942.
See another Kroll map, from 1950.

Today the "stay at home" message changes to "stay local" as part of the "Covid-19" roadmap in England.
As a bonus the weather is improving just in time for the Easter break.

I've posted this camera off to have the sensor cleaned today. I hope that it can be cleaned and I can use it again, as I figure it's more economical to get it cleaned than buy another camera and better for the planet.
