The Talking Cooking Thermometer lets the user know out loud when their food has reached the desired temperature so that there's no squinting at tiny thermometer numbers involved.
The clear disk also inside the pot lets the user know when the water is boiling; it floats on top of the water and jiggles when there's bubbles underneath it so that the user can easily see boiling water without putting their face dangerously close.
