what to eat when you don't feel like cooking...
Gardenburger bbq riblet sandwich, with Alexia Olive Oil, Rosemary & Garlic oven fries. Yummm...
Lan made this for us for lunch the other day. I was in heaven. It is one of my favorite soups ever. She is an awesome cook!
SOUNDBOARD 1. This is a composite picture showing both the top and bottom of the soundboard. The soundboard is made of thin planks of sitka spruce that were thinned to about 3mm and then planed on the edges so they could be glued together. I then planed and sanded the top as even as I could. The good makers I'm told prefer to plane and frown on sanding, but after taking the surface progressively down to #400 I am really happy with the way it looks. The bridge has been glued on the topside with urea-formaldehyde, and the ribs and riblets to the bottom side with Titebond original.
This turned out to be my concoction as I was searching for a papaya soup recipe.
It has snow fungus, pork riblets, dried honey dates, black-eyed peas, papaya (meridol variety), carrots, dried red dates, and dried lotus seeds.
I'm quite satisfied with the results!
This is a view from Pasadena looking north towards the San Gabriel Mountains and the smoke above it. The white cloud above the smoke is called a Pyrocumulus Cloud. It's made by the fire! An unnatural, but natural looking cloud, very strange.
