I cranked out this digital creation by using Flickr's built-in photo editing software, Picnik. The software is pretty user friendly and sufficiently functional. It runs faster than I would've expected for an online editor, and I like it even more than Picasa's editor. However, it's no replacement for the software I currently use. Minus the blue happy face, I like this photograph more than original.

Well I put the mosquito larva in my "pond" and covered it with saran wrap. Am I benevolent for letting them live or am I cruel for not killing them and making them live out their life in a small tupperware container?

Not very sharp, but you'd be amazed how fast snails move when you are trying to take a macro!! I loved the detail in the pattern on the shell.

Fall is here! As much as I love the warm weather, fall is definitely my favorite season!

My first attempt at macro photography using the 50mm lens reversed on the Nikon d90. blogged it

Nature photos taken with a makeshift "double-lens reverse macro", in which I attached two 50mm f1.8 lenses face to face.

This was done using a conon 40D with the 18-55mm lens attached. Then a minolta 50mm f1.4 hand held on the front reversed.

I just like the way this came out. Used a Canon A570IS with a wide angle slr lens reversed. The yellow color is courtesy of a nearby colored beverage. I am sure it was a Gatorade.

Thanks Panache for teaching me how to do this! I dedicate this series to you!

Reversed 18-55mm, handheld.
