On the back of some coin I found - I have no idea where it's from (Italy perhaps?)

Last photo taken of Spot alive.

This is the center of a Queen Elizabeth Rose.

I think these are chrysanthemum..

Rescued this guy from the pond, well I saw rescued, i'd walked past him 3hrs previously thinking "you'll never sting again ye son of a b*tch.. oooh i'll photograph you later too..."

Anywho. Turns out he was alive, thankfully I didn't find this out till after the shoot was over :-)

Using the last technique as last time, I wanted to show just how narrow the DOF is with this lens combination.

decided to try my hand at reverse macro.

i attached my crappy sigma 70-300 to the camera and held my canon 50 1.4 up to it.

I didn't note what this was. But I got it up close.

Alternate shot to Day 286. First time using a square crop for me.

Caitlin pointing at Snowdon before our half-train ride up the Mountain!

Looks more like a space ship or like something out of flight of the navigator

Nature photos taken with a makeshift "double-lens reverse macro", in which I attached two 50mm f1.8 lenses face to face.

The broken bulb. Shot with a reverse mounted 18-55 kit lens. Made a hole in the body cap and fixed a conversion ring to it to get a reverse lens adapter.

Decided to play around with my macro filters. This is the result of doing a "reverse macro" shot with the +10 filter. And why yes, is indeed SOOC! It is true....there are some days I do indeed know what I am doing with a camera!

Tried to accentuate the texture through lighting and contrast.

First attempt at reverse macro.

experiments with reversemacro..

Done using reverse macro technique with Canon FD 50mm lens attached to the A710 with the Canon adapter.

Hopefully, I will get a chance to do this with my new Canon 30d once I get (or can afford to get) the 100mm macro lens - should be a lot sharper as well!

i am so behind so i am just going to upload some shots without worrying about them too much. i am hoping to try to catch up with everyone else's posts later in the week.
