Thanks to Zexun for the tip on Reverse Macro.
Done using a 28-135mm lens [focused at 135mm], and a reversed 50mm f/1.4.
Managed to catch this guy using the reverse macro technique using another 50mm lens. For some reason he was well happy to pose for me - I got tired before he did!!!
Dead fly found while cleaning.
Used "kit lens" with 50mm f/1.8 hand held reversed on the "kit"
Cropped and turned B&W
I wasn't always sharp enough to get the flower name in addition to a picture. I don't remember what these are.
This is a little dragonfly I found in my garden this morning. I took these in reverse style with my 18-55 mm lens and blasted him at least 100 times with my flash, I'm pretty sure he is blind now.
Aside from the breathtaking beauty (suprassed only by te scottish highlands) this was a really nice place to be - Those who fancy to go to the top of Snowdon heed my advice; avoid the Llanberis Railway line - you risk arriving there and being told "only halfway today" and still being fleeced for £18 ea for the privaledge - up a hill and back down again? pfft. don't think so
Instead, there are two better train offers you may want to consider, one in Llanberis (which will take you around the mountain range) the other in Porthmadog which will do similar except to a height of 700ft for similar kind of money
Enjoy!
Shot with a reverse mounted 18-55 kit lens. Made a hole in the body cap and fixed a conversion ring to it to get a reverse lens adapter.
Rescued this guy from the pond, well I saw rescued, i'd walked past him 3hrs previously thinking "you'll never sting again ye son of a b*tch.. oooh i'll photograph you later too..."
Anywho. Turns out he was alive, thankfully I didn't find this out till after the shoot was over :-)
Using the last technique as last time, I wanted to show just how narrow the DOF is with this lens combination.
