of course, i didn't take a before shot, but i will try to remember next time. this one has really gross acrylic hair and had a southern belle dress. really gross. now she's into pink!
A once beautiful station, now being revamped, is a bit of a mess, but it's glorious past does show through. Later I will post shots of the stunning ticket office and the former buffet, which is beautifully tiled. Outside on a canopy, in art deco glass is all the destinations once possible to get to from Victoria. But my favourite things was the map, in tiles, of the whole of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway network.
They were cute little nudie kiddos, with really gross frames and glass when I got them. (Art by W.M. Otto) I took them both apart, redid the frames, and added dimentional stuff to both. Very cute now, I think....

I had an old dresser that's been kicking around (usually hidden with stuff I simply don't care about in it) for about 15 years. I decided to give it a face lift with a coat of black paint, some swirlies made with a couple of silver paint pens, and some new drawer pulls.
Put another bookshelf where the CD shelves had been, and added a new rug (IKEA children's = machine washable FTW).

This is the first half of a slideshow on bloodwood. The scenery is from around Central Australia and particularly the bush around Alice Springs and between Alice Springs and Hart's Range, NT
.
The tune is an original composition by an Australian, Dan Gordon. Fiddle and bodhran playing, as well as the photography and clip making, by me ... tee hee hee!
The significance of the Bloodwoods coming into flower in such abundance is that the trees, hither-to hidden in the mellieu of the bush, become hugely apparent.
The gumnuts of this tree (after they have lost their seeds to the ground) are very good for beading into necklaces and things ... and the trees are generally very bountiful (insects and birds) when they are in flower ... sigh!
I made this audiovisual I think on Windows Video Maker? in June 2011 ... when my fiddle playing was a tad better than my photography. There are a lot of memories in this you just cannot see ... tee hee hee!
