Another archive retrieval - this is Raymond Powell, known in Columbus blues circles as "Papa Honk". I have photographed him many times and this shot always catches my eye.
I have embarked on a massive photo organization project. Still cataloging stuff from my film days and hope to have a ton of stuff sent out for professional scanning. Also going through all of the digital archives is a chore....weeding out the junk and trying to keep 2 archival copies of everything...I'm finding a lot of stuff that I forgot about and I lot of stuff I should have deleted long ago!

But century-maker Faheem Khatana and Luke Duckitt, caught off the final delivery, added 128 for the seventh wicket, enabling the visitors to post a competitive total. Openers Nathan Madden and Adam Stocks gave Triangle a solid start as the wicket dried but the hosts failed to build on those solid foundations, collapsing from 70-1 to 181-7. A late flurry from Chris Metcalf and Tom Kenworthy could not prevent defeat.

The volunteers have been active again. We noticed that trolleys and the mattress between Maendy Way and Forgehammer had been cleared. This included two in a lock that have been there a few months. On checking round the corner at the bottom of the Pets at Home car park, as expected, we found a crop of trolleys and other rubbish awaiting collection. Gives the yobs a new blank canvas I suppose.

El tren de aterrizaje que lleva las alas es retráctil. El que se ve a la izquierda lo lleva cuando está en tierra (fuera), y el de la derecha cuando está en vuelo (dentro).

The ABLD tour of the Joe and Rika Mansueto Library. This was a great tour as we got to go down into the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). Very Cool! The ABLD 2014 Annual Meeting at the University of Chicago (May 6-8, 2014). The ABLD is the Academic Business Library Directors and the meetings were at the Joseph Regenstein Library Library on the Chicago Campus. These are pictures of the sessions at the Reg Library.

This lion head is scanned and enlarged from a piece of antique chalkware found in a Burlington, KY flea market. We were drawn to the lion head because of the strange, flat but rounded face. It has a classic, architectural look about it.
