Hey, that unannounced hiatus only lasted... like a year. Fail.

(Thanks to everyone who's been commenting and faving my old photos over the past several months. I'd go back and reply to individual comments but, well, I'm obviously lazy =_= Now let's get some new photos up in hurr!)

Business disabled by lockdown.

(forget the EXIF data, seems that the "date-stamp" likes to reset itself to the original date) 😄

This working Kodak Retina III 'small c' was sold to me on the net as a non-working Retina III 'big C.' As usual, the frame counter needed to be reset to allow the shutter to work. An engraved owner's ID number on the back is the only detraction.

..Close your eyes and say good night..

..And hold me till the morning light..

..When the sun come shinning through..

..if i can't make you happy then i won't come to you

..even know i had the chance

..i just need..

..a little love from the begining of the day

..and a little more from the end of the day

..too much or enough?

..TOO MUCH

..and then

1..

2..

3..

..RESET..

Model: Vega Halen.

For me 'The Great Reset' is every sunset. It starts all the shutting down and reboot motions: dinner prep; dishes; plans for the morning; lock up; & lights out. To begin again if you're lucky, with the next sunrise. Enjoy your day.

take a break & recharge

Finally....finally I managed to get my ass out of bed and out for a few snaps on what turned out to be quite a nice morning. A few shots here as the sun lifted off the horizon and then off down the inside of Strangford Lough to see what else we could find.

Finally managed to get this shot of the newly-restored clockface of the Elizabeth Tower, which I'd been hoping to take for a while.

Today I found a street-level angle that gives the best view with only minimal perspective corrections in Lightroom to bring it back to its true proportions.

I like the new Prussian Blue colour scheme they have brought in, which is a restoration of its original colour, although you can't really tell it's blue from a distance with the naked eye.

Anyway, the whole of the Elizabeth Tower looks incredible now after so many years under cover. I just hope they manage to finish removing the rest of the scaffolding at some point, as it's taking ages so far!

The clouds light up with some beautiful shades of colour as the sun rises over the distant hills of the Lake District. The Point of Ayre is right on my doorstop, so capturing a quick photo of little Winkie lighthouse is always a great start to any day! Captured at 90mm with my telephoto lens with not another soul in sight!
