Log replacement at Ottawa Lake National Forest. All logs that are replaced are tried to be saved as much as possible but some areas of logs were rotten all the way though. These cabins were CCC constructed log cabins.

Using PS, I mirrored the previous photo that I posted and added the sun with its shiny light at the bottom of the frame.

For the Modernism assignment, I chose to replicate the stylistic qualities and photographic techniques of photographer, Ansel Adams. Ansel Adams allowed the scenery and/or object be the main focal point and timed his shots according to both the natural lighting and arrangement. His work is straight and objective, but despite not having my camera set up on a stand, I tried to replicate the straight, clean form that is so prominent in every one of his photographs. It is shown through his various pieces that he liked to incorporate the range in landscape and skies. So, as I walked down Melrose Ave yesterday, I waited until the natural sunset lighting to hit the street to get the perfect shot. Often times, people called his work aesthetically pleasing and being in Hollywood was a perfect opportunity for me to fully incorporate the city scenery and photographic technique of his photography into my take on Modernism photography. I wanted my photo to show a broad enough view of the avenue while fully allowing the street and sunset maintain its spotlight as did Adam in his work. To fully incorporate Adam's stylistic qualities, I added the black and white filter and some grain to replicate his landscape photographs. Also, I left the light at its natural state to fully emphasize on my plan to replicate the appearance of his work.

CD/DVD Replicators were HUGE at MacWorld - and with the music and movie production abilities provided by Apple's computers, it's only logical.

Test image from BlockCam 2 of me (I usually use me as a test subject). This is a kaleidoscopic view of my nose, just in case anyone was curious...
