Intention: Replicate the shot and the style of this picture by Yousuf Karsh:

Reference: DuChemin told us to stop asking "How should I do this?" and instead ask "How do I want to do this?" which I followed in this series here as I did attempt to recreate the shots but I didn't stick to it so strictly that I couldn't make tweaks that make my shot look better than it would have been.
Outcome: I like this picture. The lighting in the room was something I had to continue to mess with. If I turned on the overhead light, it wasn't nearly as dramatic of a shot.
Edits: Increased exposure and whites. Decreased shadows, blacks, vibrance, and saturation. All was done in order to recreate the black and white aesthetic of the original picture.
