Replacement Hurdle
Len has waited over 29 months to receive a knee replacement. When we got home in March, they changed his surgeon as his original one was so busy. We are so pleased with his new doctor who sped up the process. Today he had his knee replacement! Things went well. He’s quite happy and now the hard work of recovery and rehab starts!!
I thought it was funny that one of the pains of the stained glass window in this church is of a desert scene with a cactus. I guess it might because we had a tornado last summer and they may have not gotten around to fixing that pane.

These were internal pieces, the large black one is the casing around the speaker and mic. I don't have any idea why you'd need to replace that.

The demise of the Oak Tree, it's replacement a little Christmas Tree.
Walton on Thames Council had clearly seen enough of a giant Oak Tree in Rydens Avenue. So it was down with eh Oak Tree. Luckily an enterprising resident replaced it for Christmas. Just don't let the council know, they'll be along with a chain saw.

For the forth project of the year we did a sky replacement assignment. I liked this project because I got to explore and play around in Photoshop. I always like learning more about Photoshop and what you can do with it.
I chose this image for my foreground because it has a wide landscape and a good amount of sky. I also thought it went nice with the image I wanted to use as the sky in which I would use the replacement. For the exposure I has an ISO of 200, f-stop of 2.8, and a shutter speed of 1/500.
The sky photo that I used is an image that I had previously taken out of a plane window. I chose this for the sky because I thought that it was quite a bit more interesting than the sky the original photo already had. I also liked the colors and tones of the photo and how it went nicely with the original photo. I did not want the final product to look too fake and I thought that this image looked pretty real when combined with the original photo considering.
When replacing the sky in Photoshop I first selected the sky in the original photo and cut it out. I then brought in the sky photo and put it behind the original one, which now just goes to the horizon. Finally, I adjusted the lighting to be a little more fighting for the new sky.
I really enjoyed working on this project and getting to learn how to do new things in Photoshop. I can't wait to apply this concept to other projects in the future.
